I have glued these Thickers three times and they still keep coming up. Do any of you have this style of Thicker? If so, what glue to you use to adhere them? I have been using Scotch Tacky Glue. I have this material on Thickers in three colors and don't want to throw them out. Edit: Half of my title is on texture paste (as you can see in the photo) and the other half isn't. I have the same problem with the letters coming up on both parts of the title.

The kind that works. I know, I know, that's what The Queen says.

I use Nuvo Deluxe adhesive and so far it’s held everything I’ve needed it to (including some non-paper items like small figurines and salt/pepper shakers.) Here’s the link to it from Scrapbook.com, but I think you can get it pretty much anywhere that sells craft supplies. www.scrapbook.com/store/ton-200n.html?w=Nuvo+glue

What kind of material are the letters? Paper, Chipboard, Leathery? I'm thinking there has be a reason they curl up so much. I think a lot of the problem is trying to stick them onto the texture paste. Personally, in a situation like this, I would probably use glossy accents as my adhesive. Or, a stronger glue like E6000 or gorilla glue. JMO. Regular tacky glue probably isn't going to hold on a texture like that. It's made for paper. Or, you could try running them through a Xyron sticker maker and see if that holds.

And then maybe set something like a book on it so that the letters are flat to the paper.

Another vote for the Nuvo Deluxe. It’s the best glue when sticking things down over mixed media.

The problem is you are trying to glue to mixed media, I think. The glue is not coming in contact with your paper. I would try gluing some foam down in the gaps between the glittery mixed media, then glue the letters to the foam (or vice versa). It will be time consuming, but should work.
Your title made me laugh, because a non-crafty coworker once asked me what glue I use to scrapbook. Well, adhesive squares, tacky glue, gel glue, glue pens... We all have probable a dozen types of glue!

I would try tacky glue or matte medium. I use Aleene's Collage Pauge a lot for my mixed media projects.

We all have probable a dozen types of glue! Years ago, when I had just started to use Facebook and still liked it (lol), I asked on my timeline if anyone could guess how many different kinds of glue I had. I left it open for about a day, then posted an update that I had about 30ish different types of glue (I don't remember the exact number). My aunt was shocked it was that much! I think she guessed 5 or something. Of course, most of those aren't in constant rotation, I have about 5 that I use consistently and others are for specialty uses, etc.

Oh and also, since they are curling, when you glue them again, put something very heavy on it until it's dry. I actually have a wonderful extra piece of granite I use for things like that.

Scotch Quick Dry Glue is my general use glue but i also keep other kinds of glue and double sided tape around. different materials just need different glues.
i have also fallen in love with the clear Gorilla Glue. it takes longer to dry but it glues down well. don't use the dark or white glue. those bubble and expand beyond your project boundaries.

Like I said; use the one that works. Be careful with the book idea; it could end up as dimensional ephemera ... so you want the bound side up so the book doesn't flop open when you turn the page. I've been at this for over 20 years, and I marvel at how many learning experiences one can have. But it's just paper ... and a bunch of expensive supplies.

Best bang for your buck and holds everything--Aleen's Tacky Glue. Does it warp paper? Like when gluing paper to paper? Every once in a while I need a liquid glue that does not have a tiny hole that clogs up. Thanks!

But then again you shouldn't use very much (only dots) so it won't stick to other things, leak out of the edges, etc. It's doesn't take much.

No experience with mixed media but my favorite wet glue is Art Glitter Glue. Dries clear and holds really well.

It's why they have languished in my stash for so long, but they were the perfect color.

Liquid glue - Helmar 450 Quickest and easiest however, Sticky Specs!! If you haven't heard of these, trust me you want to find them. They are these little sheets with microspecs of glue that you press your item into, lift and stick onto something. They are super strong, they last forever and work amazingly well. This is a link to my store but it is in Canada but know there are lots of stores in the US that sell as well. - scrapaddictsonline.ca/search?type=product&q=specs

I see that you've already ordered some of the Nuvo glue (and rubber? that IS a strange material to make a scrapbook embellishment out of)... but wanted to put out there that I use B eacon Fabri-Tac adhesive for a lot of my non-paper gluing. It's kind of like hot glue without having to use a hot glue gun. For paper gluing, I use Art Glitter Glue. I haven't lost the pin yet, thank goodness-- because I absolutely love the extra-fine tip for gluing tiny things.
