I feel the need to visit Disney World. It probably won’t be until next year because of our schedules. I really miss my happy place!
Where will you go?

We’ve been to both Disney World and Universal during Covid. It’s amazing right now.
The limited capacity is great. Riding rides and having them all to yourself is amazing. No single rider lines, no randos get put in your vehicle at the last minute. No one near you in restaurants. People not up your butt in lines. Not having to worry about whether the people behind you will talk the whole ride or the people in front of you will obnoxiously hold up their phone the whole time.
Covid theme park has been the most enjoyable times we have ever been in Disney and universal.

I have a cruise booked for September. I don't know if it's actually going to happen but I booked it before Covid.
I went to TN for a week last month. Booked a cabin in Gatlinburg & drove up. Needed to get away.

I will go anywhere. For real. But I really want to chill by the ocean- any one will do. Maybe once our Eastern provinces will let us in again

We were supposed to be on a plane to Paris on May 28.
Obviously that won’t happen, so I’m looking forward to when European travel can happen again.
Domestically, we are comfortable going everywhere now.
During Covid we’ve been to Las Vegas, New Mexico, Eureka Springs, Branson, all over Florida, Broken Bow, all over Colorado, Atlanta.
This summer we’re thinking about going to Alaska because they dropped their Covid testing requirement for tourists, but still aren’t allowing cruises. We could be in all the sites without anyone from cruise ships being there.

We have booked a week at a spa resort in the Tyrol region of Austria in the last week of July. We can drive there in under two hours, and it is a fairly isolated region, between a lake and the alps, so lots of hiking opportunities. We have the option to cancel or reschedule if needed due to Covid, but I think we’ll be fine by then.

By end of May we will be fully vaccinated and I feel comfortable traveling domestically and plan to do a lot of trips.
Places I have in mind: New Orleans, Charleston, Santa Fe, the San Juan islands, Bend, Yosemite, Tahoe, Los Angeles, Montana

We flew into Anchorage then did road trip to Seward and Homer - absolutely spectacular hiking, food and scenery.

I already go pretty much where I want but haven't flown. We are going to fly to San Antonio and California the end of June.

Hoping that's still true in a couple weeks....dh & I are leaving the kids at home (they don't want to come along ) and going down for a few days. The parks are all sold out (at their reduced capacity) on a couple of days but we're just going to go with the flow and have a relaxing trip. Dh has a business meeting one day so I'm going to have a whole day to myself.....in my happy place! Just trying to figure out what to do with it. To answer the OP: besides this trip we are also planning to go out west for a week. Rent a cabin in CO so dh and the kids can see the Rocky Mountains (I went as a kid and we've been to the Smokies many times but there's a huge difference).

DS wanted to go back to Atlanta to see the Aquarium expansion and we were planning on doing that when he graduated this year. But we're punting until next year. I won't feel comfortable traveling this year.

I will be 2 weeks past the 2nd shot on May 4th. May 5th, I have a dental cleaning. May 6th, I am on the plane to visit my Dad in FL. He lives near WDW, and a friend is also visiting while I am there, so we will hit the theme parks then. While we are waiting for International travel to be safe and allowed, we are planning on a road trip to CA, maybe a road trip to DC when more museums are open, and we would like to go to Kauai but waiting to see if the testing protocol will be removed/modified. During COVID we did road trip to the in-laws in Seattle, but that is the only travel we have done since Feb 2020.

Closer to home, we want to go to Vegas. The one thing we are not comfortable with yet is eating in a restaurant and that would make meals in Vegas difficult. And then in the fall, we may go to Hawaii to visit family. We really want to go to Japan, but that may not be until next year.

Once the CDN/USA border is open, I would like to go to Huntington Beach and Laguna Beach. I find the Pacific ocean to be a peaceful ocean. The Atlantic ocean seems to be a more angry ocean.

We were just talking about Hawaii next winter but we heard the prices are so high that it’s crazy. We don’t need to go that badly.
We cancelled a trip to Israel last March so if we can go March 2022 then we’ll do that for sure. It’s a priority family holiday. We’d go in December 2021 if it was allowed except I want to go with nicer weather.

First, to see my dad! Next Friday will be 2 weeks since my second vaccine and his extended care facility has been fully vaccinated for a while, so DS and I are heading out to see him. I cannot wait. He has Alzheimers and doesn't answer his phone often so I've had very limited interaction with him over the past year. It has sucked to say the least.
DH is leaving Monday to go visit his mom who has been ill recently. Because of timing he will do this trip by himself.
Our next big family trip is to Disney in early June. Then we're thinking maybe Orange Beach for fall break.

I want to keep discovering our big beautiful country, Canada. A couple of years ago we went to Vancouver Island and my husband & brother experienced paranormal activity. I want to keep exploring the Island and run into a shadow person too. I miss going on road trips, I miss the oceans and the mountains. I told my husband we gotta go, I don't care if we have to sleep in the back of our SUV on a blow up mattress.

Probably no where this year. My monthly Google map check in looks very, very sad. Depending on how things go, I might try and book something at the Beach in the Fall for a weekend.
We hope to go to Grand Cayman next year - we were supposed to go Feb 2021, and that didn't happen. We'll see how things look first though.
And if I'm be really honest, I just want to get my teeth cleaned. I've held off because I'm high risk and it's been almost 18 months. But I'll be fully vaccinated in mid-May and will be scheduling an appointment for shortly thereafter.

Where will you go? when it comes to going someplace with crowds, i will go to disneyland. it is close so we don't have to stay in a hotel (no entirely on board with staying at hotels yet). it is close so no need to ride in a plane, train, or rental car.

We were supposed to go to Ireland/Scotland last year. Rescheduled for this year. Already rescheduled for August 2022. I really hope it happens. Been high on my bucket list forever.
We have a cruise out of San Juan scheduled for October 2021. I would be shocked if that happens. I'm not even sure I want it to happen. We also have a Hawaii cruise booked for November 2022. We've been so wouldn't be heartbroken if that doesn't happen but our friends haven't so I hope we can go so they can see it. If our October cruise doesn't happen, we will find something else to do within the US. Getting our second Moderna tomorrow and will feel more comfortable traveling after that.
In the meantime, the only place we go is the gulf coast of Texas. We own a place there so it's safe for us.
I miss travel so much.

I would like to be able to go visit my parents, sister, brother and their families one province over. Both provinces are on zero social gatherings still. I'm just trying to be responsible and do my small part. For what its worth anyway. Our city jumped from 54 cases in Feb to close to 600 cases a month later bc people are assholes and not following the restrictions. So selfish and entitled.

We will be quite happy travelling within the UK, with all my health stuff it is difficult to travel abroad anyway. I’d love to get to Scotland this year.
