I have quartz counters in the kitchen and granite in my bathrooms. I also have porcelain tiled showers. I really struggle to clean the white hardwater stains I get around the faucets. Will this solution work well for those water stains? How long do you usually leave the solution on? I've read about leaving the solution sit for 30min, etc. in a shower. That seems like a really long time especially when you are talking about cleaning a bathroom sink.

I use this mixture but I don't use it on my granite. For the bathroom sinks I spray it on and either scrub right away or may leave it sit for a few minutes when I am cleaning another part of the bathroom. That said, I have horrific hard water stains on my shower doors and I tried everything but it is etched into the glass. I ended up just spraying the glass with frosted glass stuff until I am ready to replace them. For the rest of the shower, the mix works like a charm.

We had terrible hard water stains/build up on our shower doors, but the scrubbing bubbles automatic shower cleaner dispenser thing - you know the thing your hang from the shower head and then hit the button after you are done with your shower, get out and shut the door, and then it rotates and sprays down the whole shower. Anyhow, it took the whole first container of cleaner, but by the end our years old stains were gone and the glass clean again!

I use it a lot, but when we get the build up, i let it sit in there for a few minutes and it seems to do the trick. Same thing behind the faucet. It sometimes gets that build up and I soak the vinegar/dawn and it's great. I have it in a squirt bottle. There are different versions of it. I like it best with Dawn Oxy and apple cider vinegar.
