It’s very pretty but interesting since Speckled Egg was just a few colors ago. I was really expecting a yellow but wishing for purple. I use a lot of blue green so I’ll be ordering this color for sure.
Updated: I just watched Tim’s demo on You Tube and this color is glorious!! I love the color of sea glass and Salvaged Patina is that color. There goes my scrappy budget. I am going to need it all.

Too many blues and greens already for me. But that's just me.

Too many blues and greens already for me. But that's just me. I like blues & greens but yeah, let's branch out and do different colors like yellows or purples.

I agree. I'm totally underwhelmed and disappointed. Oh, I won't grieve or lose any sleep, LOL. I do like the color, but I have so many similar ones that this is a pass for me. And I LOVE blues and aquas and greens. Tim did make it very clear that these new colors are the ones HE has been wanting to add over the years. He's not really listening to what his customers want. That's OK, though. His company, his choice. At least I'll be saving some money.

I'm shocked. I already think there are colours that are close in his blue-green palette...and that people won't "need" this one.

It's not what I was hoping for, but it is a beautiful color. I'll definitely be buying it but hoping for a yellow again in two months!

I was surprised that he added another blue tone. It looks lovely, from the little I have seen so far, but then I like blues (and most other colors). At some point I should figure out which colors I have and if there are any obvious holes. I bought a bunch of colors I don't really love in the early days of oxides and should probably trade some of them for colors that are more my style.
Or not. At a certain point there are so many choices I just shut down and don't care any more. It has occurred to me lately that I may not love the oxides as much as I thought I did. I've been blending with Catherine Pooler inks and like the clarity of the colors. The oxidized/grunge thing might just not be my thing.
I've heard that purple is a tricky color in terms of chemistry/light-fastness. Not sure if that's more for paper products or pigments in general.

It looks like Cracked Pistachio and Broken China had a baby. Was really hoping for a yellow or plum. Maybe this Fall

After watching a few short videos after Tim’s, my guess is it will be brighter, darker and less grayed down than speckled egg. I love speckled egg though - my kitchen color is almost identical. I ordered some salvaged patina products today and already got notice they’re shipping. Yeah, I know they can’t actually be on the way but maybe they’re packed up.

Oxides are my dessert island inks - and I don’t do grunge at all. Well, a long time ago I did once as part of a challenge but even that wasn’t really grungy, more vintage. I’m mostly clean & simple, lots of brights and also softs, geometrics, nature. I haven’t used my one set of Catherine Poolers much but the colors are so clear - I can see the attraction.

Do I win? I guessed a blue-green/lighter turquoise and this seems to be it. Definitely adding this to the collection.

Count me in the group surprised by another blue-green range, but it is a gorgeous color!

It's really pretty and totally the sort of colour I gravitate towards, but given that I've likely got inks in my stash that are similar enough that I don't need this.

I've watched a couple of videos showing some blends with other oxide colors and some other color playtime (on scrapbook dot com's YT channel) and it's a really pretty color.

It kind of looks like a stamp-off of Peacock Feathers.

The second picture in this post shows some blends that work together with the new color. There's a video with full details but you can make out a lot of the colors from the photo. I think there were two using peacock feathers. http://instagram.com/p/CODjrcUAECp

I was really surprised to see another blue family color too but I think I'm going to have to grab this one. I don't have several of the others, so I've got plenty of room. Or not. At a certain point there are so many choices I just shut down and don't care any more. It has occurred to me lately that I may not love the oxides as much as I thought I did. I've been blending with Catherine Pooler inks and like the clarity of the colors. The oxidized/grunge thing might just not be my thing. This is so true for me too. I get overwhelmed if there are too many decisions. I've been thinking lately about getting some of the Catherine Pooler inks. They are so pretty. My problem is I'm not much of a stamper but I have a ton of stamps I'd really love to use more. Thanks for the recommendation.

I've been blending with Catherine Pooler inks and like the clarity of the colors. The oxidized/grunge thing might just not be my thing. I've been feeling the same way! But in the last few days I've needed the oxide for it's ability to layer OVER another colour and hide a colour mistake... so I'm struggling with the "I need both versions of a colour". My solution with recent colours was to get the mini cubes of the original formula, plus the oxide version.

I love this color and have a purse the same exact shade. I'm picking it up from the local store today.

It's a pretty shade but it's quite redundant in the current Oxide offer, I agree. For those who've already bought multiple Oxide inks in this hue family, I doubt there'll be much of a push to add Salvaged Patina to the bunch.
I'm really surprised it was another green-ish blue. I was expecting a yellow or coral/peach addition.

I have all the blues and greens already - oh, except rustic wilderness - and jumped on it. Peacock feathers can be too dark/strong for softer cards, so I lighten it with white or water or stamping off, but when doing blends that takes longer and it would be nice not to always have to do that. Other blues are bluer or very light and toned down (grayer), so this has a definite place in my card making. But aquas/turquoises/teals are a go to, and and I have almost full set syndrome with Oxides (and not full set syndrome with other inks, though I like some and can’t do without a few.

My problem is I'm not much of a stamper but I have a ton of stamps I'd really love to use more. Thanks for the recommendation. I got the CP inks in the minis, a couple of bundles so far. I think I will get some of the clearer/brighter shades next. I don't stamp in color a lot but the bundles gave me coordinating tones and they're small enough to store pretty easily. I follow someone who uses CP inks a lot and she showed how she got new color variations by blending two inks over the top of each other. She titled the video something like "getting over full set syndrome" which is definitely something that got me clicking! www.youtube.com/watch?v=qbGaaznthU4I just swatched my oxides on the official color chart so I can see where I have gaps and where I have plenty of shades already. Not sure if this link to the swatch chart will work: chart link just in case anyone else is inspired to see where their gaps are.

I've been blending with Catherine Pooler inks and like the clarity of the colors. I just finished swatching all of my inks and was surprised at how clear the Catherine Pooler inks were compared to most of my others. The majority of my inks were just a bit muddyish or something. I have a few Catherine Pooler minis but now I'm thinking of maybe investing in full size pads for the colours I don't have. They definitely stand out from the rest. Nice and juicy pads, too. Having said that, I do love the Oxides for ink blending. I think this new colour fits a very specific need - the aged copper kind of look, like the Canadian Parliament buildings, etc. His design teams seems to do a lot of ageing on their products. I love the colour so I'll be getting it.
