So my youngest dd is in college, and they have been playing some board games, but lots of video games which she is sick of. They have played cards against Humanity a lot, and Curses. Does anyone know of any other good group board games? She would like one for cmas. Thanks!!

Telestrations is so fun! I think it is for 8 people. It is a pictionary version of the game telephone.
We've also combined telestrations with some CAH cards for something even more "inapropriate". ☺

There are sets of Settlers of Catan that can be played with six. You do have to buy the original game and expansion packs. There's also a version of Ticket to Ride (I believe it's India?) where you can play as a team. Balderdash is a great game for college students.
Most of my favorite games only take four players, though, and that's a problem at my house. we'll be watching this.

7 Wonders can play up to 8 with the DownLoad of a monument from the web. Plays 7 without.

Fluxx is fun. Settlers of Catan + expansion was my first thought though.

I love LCR (Left, Right, Center). Easy and we play after Bunco with $1 bills. Easy pot and someone will get some cash. I've played it with up to 30 people.

One NYE a large group of us played Pictionary and had a ton of laughs! Though not a board game, Skip-bo works well with a few more people. Not sure what you mean by a larger group though. 5-6? 8-10? More?
