Happy Friday! The Pokey Peas and the Saturday chat group know I have been working on my Explosion Box for a while. Well, I finally finished! LOL Here is my new YT video tutorial where I shared my box and how I decorated it. I just love how the top turned out! Link HereMichaels Explosion Box by Kelly Roberts, on Flickr I started with a pre-made box from M's and went from there. Mine is a garden themed box where I shared pictures from my first store visit to Home Depot since the pandemic started. This box is so fun and would be a perfect gift. You could fill it with a small gift or treats, too. My Garden Themed Explosion Box by Kelly Roberts, on Flickr QUESTION: Have you made or used one of these boxes? How did you like it?

This looks great. I’ll have to check out the video. I think I bought an Elizabeth Craft explosion die a while back. It would make a nice keepsake party favor.

Yes, I think you could really make it special with a gift inside and special pictures. That's cool you have a die so you can really make your own. M's had a really big one, too that have two smaller sized boxes inside. I just didn't have enough ideas and or pictures for this mega one. So yeah, I could see these being made for weddings, brides maid gift, Mother's Day and etc. Have a nice weekend!

Your explosion box is beautiful!
I made quite a few explosion boxes years ago. I designed and taught a class where we made a Valentine themed explosion box. They were new back then, but it’s been over 10 years. It’s fun to see them making a comeback, but looking even fancier.

That sounds like a fun class you taught. Thanks for looking at my box. It was fun to make!

I made a Birthday explosion box for my daughter and she loved it! I added 8 different pockets for gift cards and cash. My 25 yr old son thought it was so cool he video taped it afterwards to show his girlfriend.

I too have made many explosion boxes, and explosion pages. Thanks for sharing your videos. You got skills! I made a Birthday explosion box for my daughter and she loved it! I added 8 different pockets for gift cards and cash. My 25 yr old son thought it was so cool he video taped it afterwards to show his girlfriend. What a fun gift! I would have loved this gift, too. That is what is so fun about these boxes. You can add so much to it.
