Since my daughters are no longer in dance we converted the dance room to a craft room. I bought various art and craft supplies for my 9 yo and diamond art was one of them. Last week she was working on it and I was just sitting there watching her and became a little intrigued so I decided to try one with her. Dang it is addictive.

One of my friends has made a lot of pieces. She finds it really relaxing and has given so many as gifts.

We tried a few when the pandemic started. I like doing them. I’ve never called Ed enough about the finished product to keep any.
ETA darn auto correct! No idea who Ed is. That should have said I’ve never cared enough.

I've done a few, but find that I cannot sit in my recliner to do them. If they spill, I would never find all the little "jewels". Then, I don't have anything to do with the finished product. My friends already have their own.

I have, and enjoyed it. I find it really relaxing. The problem is what to do with them once completed. It's not really something I want to display anywhere.

My kids like them so I got one for myself over the holidays and then got sucked in. I couldn't stop. It's so mindless and relaxing. Perfect to do while I listen to a book or watch TV. I might have gotten way too into it for a couple weeks though. And I didn't know what to do with it once I finished. I wouldn't hang it in my house but it was fun.

Yep! I've done two very large ones (60cm x 80cm) that now are framed and hang in my cake studio. I'll likely never do another ha ha. I can't upload a photo (apparently we are out of space again). But both are bakery/cookie related. I started them several years ago, and got the first one half done and set it aside for the holidays. And then it sat for 2 years. Last spring when we were shut in, I started spending a few hours a day on them, watching the Andrew Lloyd Webber YouTube shows and then listening to podcasts. I love them, but don't know where in the house I'd hang another. ETA: Followed the directions and found me a photo host outside of the Proboards realm - yay me! Here are mine: ![](http://village.photos/images/user/a6fa4fec-e5cc-420a-a2de-005802d33d7d/54fcc509-9402-4f4b-b9bb-be17ad79694f.jpg)

Yep I started doing them in the beginning of the pandemic and have complete two small ones and one large one. I’m halfway through another large one but lost a lot of steam around the holidays lol. Hoping to finish this one by June. It was a good way for me to listen to audiobooks and still do something, especially during the long days of the lockdown. I ordered my nephew a small one at Michaels and he liked it but hasn’t finished it yet lol.
I get mine off of Amazon or Etsy. Tip: if one doesn’t come with enough or missing prices you can order them off of Etsy. Happened to me and was simple enough to order.
Also, I keep the diamond pieces in monthly pill organizer. So much easier than the bags you get them in. My pill organizer you can take out 1 day (morning, noon, eve and night) so it’s easier to dump in the tray.
Oh and mine are just sitting in a pile too😂

My daughter and I worked on one while she was home during Christmas break. We didn’t finish yet but it was relaxing and a nice way to spend time together while we were watching tv late at night. She’s moving back home for the summer so we’ll probably pick back up where we left off. The designs we got were mandala patterns so if she likes them well enough, she may frame them to hang in her next apartment.

I did 2 during lockdown, they were space pictures. The wife of one of Dh riding buddies had a set of 4 of these space pictures that she intended to hang in her husband's garage space. They were fun to do, but I wouldn't know what to do with the finished product. The set of 4 turned out really cool and look good where she put them.

I bought one that was slightly smaller than A5 size during lockdown 1. It was really addictive. I bought 2 more on sale last week, for something to do in the evening while watching telly. The days are getting colder and now that daylight saving has ended the evenings are dark, so I won't be outdoors much.

I tried a few years ago I guess when it was talked about here. I love it! I have completed probably 20 pieces. I think 2 of them I have framed and given away. I tease my kids that instead of quilts or crocheted dish towels that my grandmothers did...I will leave my kids all my diamond art projects. My son loves them all. Lol!
It is very relaxing to me and I live full time in an RV so there is not a lot of room for craft projects. I have bought most of mine off of Amazon.

I've completed 4 and have 2 hanging at work. I've given the other 2 to my mom who thinks they're the greatest things ever- lol. I have one of our college football stadium that I can't wait to work on and another that I will hang somewhere where only DH and I will regularly see it.

Now that's some fun art! I have a goofy, closeup photo of a llama's face in my otherwise "tasteful" master bathroom. My family thinks I'm nuts but I firmly believe that art should make you happy.

I love diamond art... its just mindless busy ness while watching tv..
I did a couple of tiny 20×30 n 30×30 from amazon and aliexpress... then went super crazy and got giant huge ones from diamond art club... did some of the "Mandie Manzano princesses" was spending wayyy too much money on something i had no place or desire to hang...
So I went back to smaller paintings and put them in an art portfolio thing... i dont save my drills to re-use... some people have fancy saved drill boxes... i just dump mine in a glass cookie jar for decoration...
I was buying pens and trays and different forms of waxes... i love the pretty placer crayons for single placing.. and paddy wax in my multi placer... i use a 6 and 4 placer most often...
I gave all my green boats to my ddil.. shes a teacher aid and they use them for painting n crafts with her students...

My 12 year old is just finishing a really cute one.. a giraffe with flowers in it's hair.. or something close like that. I wanted to do one but where to hang seems to be the 'hang' up HAHA...
But I could hang it at work in my office. Or my craft room but I have to much other crap to hang in there.. so maybe my office!!

I have not. I feel like it would be a tedious job, and I would eventually get bored of it long before i finished. I even refuse to look at anything related to diamond art at the store. It is better this way. I have more than enough craft stuff to keep me busy.

I did one and enjoyed it, but I haven’t found another picture I would want to hang up, so I have just done the one. If they had more Nightmare ones that would look good, I would do more.
I love the bakery ones posted above, those are really cute!

I love the bakery ones posted above, those are really cute! Thanks! They fit my cake studio perfectly. that's my same issue - I'm not sure where I'd hang any others in the house, except maybe my office. But above my desk is full (bulletin board & to the left my "she believed she could so she did" wood board with hooks that I hang my running medals on. I REALLY want the Hogwarts Castle one - but it is a LOT of darker colours. It is the scene where the boats are headed to the castle after getting off the train. So lots of dark with the castle up above. I'd probably kill my eyes doing it!

I thought I would love this! I bought a kit off amazon last year. Unfortunately I've hit that great age where my eyesight is terrible and I need a magnifying glass on top of my progressive lenses. ![:o](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/shocked.png) . So that stopped me from loving it as much as I had hoped I would.

I have been working on a very large one by Van Gogh. The city at night or something like that. It's a full canvas, maybe 16x20 inches. I love it and will hang it in my scraproom whenever I get it finished. I bounce around to much from project to project.

I did one of a peacock. I framed it and put it in my craft room. It looks "right" there. I thought about getting another one but them decided against it. They are kind of like Velvet Elvises. You really only need one per house.

Completely and totally obsessed. It’s 1am and I just finished a small mandala flower. But I had to finish it before going to bed. Lol. I have a few monster sized canvases to do, so I’m trying to finish my small ones first before I tackle the large ones.
And I have soooo many more on the way. They take so long to arrive that it’s easy to over order.

If you don't have a light box, you need one! I just got one and it does make a big difference. They're so thin and inexpensive. Totally worth it. I got This oneRemember how big the tracing/light boxes were back in the day? LED has changed that for the better.
