I can't believe I've done it again! I completely forgot that it was my turn to share a sketch this weekend, and I've been sitting here all day waiting somewhat impatiently for someone to post today's sketch!! I didn't have anything prepared, so I have grabbed this sketch and I hope it's one that hasn't been used yet. Apologies if it has! I will start work on my sample page right now.......

And here is my sample layout. Better late than never..... I had to flip it because the orientation kind of messed with my brain a bit.

Landed just in time for my Saturday morning coffee here in Western Canada, AussieMeg! Love the sketch--lots of fun elements and options. And I love how you flipped it for your page. I see the two designs as facing pages: yours on the left and the sketch on the right. Hmmmm...

Definitely no need to apologize! According to kitbop, I have a “system” for changing plans for one page into 2 page spreads

I've been known to do that on occasion!

I really felt the "swirls" in the sketch could translate well into smoke or flames to scrap these campfire photos. Finding the right swirl was difficult, but I think I like what I did with this background die cut into pieces to resemble swirling fire, and coloured with inks/blender brushes to include the fancy colours that were in our fire this evening. Thanks AussieMeg, great sketch!!! layout fancy fire by kirstendrew, on Flickr

LOVE your firy swirls, kitbop! Here is my two pager based on the sketch; just flipped it and then repeated the design (almost) Family Easter Traditions by Gramma Dee, on Flickr Got to use some of my Easter dies that have been sitting patiently waiting for a year or two, and my newest papers from the pkgs I picked up from the mail on Tuesday.

I struggled a bit to fit this on my smaller page and I subbed circles for the swirls
