Les and I are almost done with the full challenge, we started in October but only did about a week before starting the November challenge. It's put together by a couple in Cincinnati and has been amazing in our lives.
We're losing weight, having great results with some health issues and feeling SO much better that we're doing the full challenge again in December. It starts 12/1 and will wrap up right before Christmas.
I am NOT great at preparing meals so I love that each week you get a grocery list, the meals are all laid out for you and it even tells you what you need to prep for the next days meals.
I thought we were going to miss meat, but I just haven't really at all. A couple of cravings but it's been easy to find something 'on plan' that makes it go away pretty quickly.
I don't know my exact weight when I started but i'm down 2 pants sizes and i'd guess 10-15 lbs. I know a couple of girls are doing it from my posts on facebook so I thought it might be fun to chat about it on here if anyone else is interested.
I don't get kickbacks from referrals, i'm just excited about the changes we've seen in a short amount of time.
I've lost weight, gone from taking 2 ambien at night to sleeping through the night and being ready for the day before my alarm goes off, tons of energy and a huge decrease in lupus flares.
My hubby is also losing weight, blood pressure is down, he's sleeping well and he's had much better results with this plan than with anti inflammatories and prednizone that the doctors had him on trying to figure out some medical issues.
All of the recipes are vegan and gluten free. I don't know that we'll be raw vegan forever, but I primarily went into this looking to kind of cleanse and so I could learn how to prepare fresh fruits and veggies in a way that my family would love. it's working, AND i'm saving money on our grocery bill/eating out.
If anyone wants to check it out there is a ton of info, a sample meal plan and shopping list on the facebook group Motiv8America Raw Food Challenge
If you're interested, let me know so I can cheer you on.
Edited: I don't know if you can see the difference, but here is a pic from the end of summer and one from this week. Hopefully it resizes soon....I'm hoping to find a better 'before' pic but i'm quick with the delete button! ha
