I have some old Martha Stewart vellum that I love and am running low on. It’s no longer being made and the packaging doesn’t state what weight it is. I use it primarily with my PTI seed packet die to make envelopes to put money in when sending a card. I’ve also used it with embossing folders and it doesn’t rip. Can someone recommend a good substitute?

I was looking for some to print on, so I bought a package at my local office supply store.

I have used Michaels Recollections brand vellum for cardmaking and it seemed a good balance of quality for cost. FWIW It is labeled as 29lb 109gsm and comes in letter sized sheets, packs of 10, at least last time I bought it (it was out of stock when I went back to get more last year).
I bought some 12x12" vellum from scrapbook dot com that was much heavier, almost too heavy. Sorry I'm not sure how either compares to what you've been using. I would offer to send you some scraps to test out but they're all mixed up with bits from some old Stampin Up vellum I inherited - I wouldn't know which was which.

Thank you for the replies. Too thin and it's like tracing paper. Too thick and the die will cut vs score. I've googled some vellum envelopes and they appear to be 28lb weight so I think I'll just try and buy something similar to test out.

I prefer a heavyweight vellum. I buy this brand:
Clearprint Heavy Vellum Pad, 48 LB, 180 GSM, 9 x 12 Inches, 25 Sheets Per Pad
