We're starting school in 3 weeks, so it's definitely time to shop for school supplies!
Our district provides all the supplies, but I always buy stuff so we've got a ready supply here for projects or whatever. Plus, I just adore new crayons!

I love it. It isn't as fun now that my kids are no longer in elementary school. High school stuff is boring. At least my middle school aged son still gets fun stuff. I like it more for me as a teacher. It can be dangerous for me to go to Office Max or Staples.

I love shopping for school supplies. I think this year I'll get some neat new stuff for my office at work as well since I usually just focus on the supplies for my daughter (going into 3rd grade). Oh and I usually buy some to add to my scrapbook stash (sharpies, pencil cases to organize stuff, etc.). I can literally spend hours wandering through office/school supply stores.

Ohmygoodness, ME! In fact, we're homeschooling this fall, and it will take some considerable willpower to actually create a fairly accurate list, rather than use that as an excuse to buy 3 of everything!

I love school shopping. I loved it as a kid too. Nothing better than the smell of a new box of crayons.

I love it! I always make sure to buy extra to send in 1/2 way through the school year as well as extra for the teacher. Can't wait for the list to come out!

I like the idea of it, fresh new supplies to start a new school year. What I don't like it that it's a signal that the lazy days of summer is coming to a close and that winter (gasp) is right around the corner!

I'm a teacher. I'm like a kid in a candy store during BTS season. Truthfully, I shop school supplies year round. ![8-)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/cool.png) eta I was just at Target and they were breaking down the garden area and setting up BTS. My 12 yo was like, "Nooooooo!" ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png) en

Me! I love back to school shopping, but I am a nerd like that ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/MNrJDkDuSwqIMVw33MdD.jpg) I always stock up up on what we need while it is cheap. Then I have small cupboard that is out own personal stationary "store". I love having what we need when we need it, and must of it does not cost a lot either. This is me too! I love buying school supplies! I also stock up and have a box of supplies put aside. When we need something we go "shopping" in the supply box.

I used to live in California. That state has a ban against charging for school supplies in public schools. All supplies are provided by the school district. There are also no registration fees. In my current state, I will pay about $450 in registration fees for my 2 kids, plus buy all school supplies. I'm glad that I only have 2 kids.

I do! I was doing my supply order for the coming school year at work today and it just wasn't nearly as fun or satisfying as going to Staples or Target and grabbing up the great bargains.

No kids here, but I love to buy new supplies! My first job was at a stationary store. Loved it!!

I used to LOVE back to school shopping when my kids were still in school. I sometimes miss it now, but I don't miss spending all that money we used to spend on it!

I've always loved it. From the time it was shopping for me to the real fun, shopping for my daughter. We started a tradition many years ago, while my daughter was in middle school, of going back to school shopping in Portland. No tax!! We still go every year (she graduated high school in '06) and still call it back to school shopping. Very fun, great escape to Portland for a weekend. Also, sanctioned shopping time for all. It's my mom, sister, daughter and I. We all get into it and shop til we drop.
