I love it but I am not ready for it yet! As a teacher, I love it every year! DD is starting kindergarten this fall so there is an added layer of excitement this year!

I do but I always seem to miss the sales and have to go more than one place. I'm hoping to do better this year though.

I love shopping for school supplies! I'm a little sad that my son is doing cyber school this year, so those things won't be necessary, but I'll still be hoarding Crayola Crayons and stockpiling glue sticks, notebooks and index cards.

I do! I was just thinking about this when I was in Target earlier today. They're due to start up in a couple of weeks IIRC.

I do like it, but school has only been out here for a week! Would like to wait until after July 4th to think about supplies.

I love buying school supplies too and my kids are all grown up with their own kids. I wait until Walmart has everything on sale and I buy lots of backpacks, tons of paper, notebooks, colored pencils, crayons, glue, scissors, pens and pencils and donate it all to a local bank who hosts a school supply drive every year. Last year a lady behind me in line at Walmart looked at my 2 shopping carts loaded to the gills with school supplies and asked me how many kids I had!!
Uh, i'm 61, I look 61... what was she thinking? Haha!

I'm sure I would love it if we had to do it. But here all we do is fill in the on line order form with the relevent school supply company and then everything gets delivered to the school. Boring hey!

Me! I always loved it. And I don't have kids. I like to buy myself new pens and other things for the office during back-to-school. Because I loooooooooove new pens. And new post-its. And new highlighters.

ME!! My son already knows who his 5th grade teacher will be for the next school year. Its the one who he wanted me to request for him. He'll have some old friends in his class but not any of his current ones. I told him..hey don't blame me! I requested the teacher you told me to!!
Anyway, the class supply list is also posted...on the doors to the school. In fact, I went out there this am to write down what all he needs. The sales will start after 4th of July no doubt!!

I love it, too! My kids are in their 30's, so clearly I can't buy for them anymore. I like to find all the deals and donate it to a local charity. OK, well I can confess I did keep a giant box of crayons for myself. I just like them

I don't really have to do back to school shopping anymore. Since DS #2 is in Special Ed we don't get a supply list which makes me sad cause I LOVVVEEEEE school supplies.

I love back to school shopping. I love shopping in general lol.
I always wait until tax free weekend to buy clothes/shoes/supplies but I may have to get all our shopping done before then. Tax free weekend starts August 1st in my state and I'm leaving for a cruise on August 3rd.

My son is starting K and we got a long list but I love school supply shopping! Toys R Us always has the 24 box Crayola crayons 4 for $1. I think Target comes out mid July.

I love supply shopping. It's fun to get the ads and hunt for the best deals. I use to take a gamble and wait until mid August but usually the best sales are in July. I already know I have to stock up on mechanical pencils and notebooks this year since the older ones always seem to need a new notebook toward the end of the school year. But I"m all stocked up on wide ruled binder paper and crayons til my youngest hits middle school. LOL
DD wants to buy scotch tape and I told her wait a few more months. We've got enough to last us until then!

I love school supply shopping! Pretty much everyone in my family is/was a teacher, so I love to spoil the teachers with lots of extra goodies or gift cards for their classrooms, too. DD's only going into 1st grade, so we still get to buy the really fun stuff.

I won't admit it publicly until August but I love it. I've been a third grade teacher for 11 years. Every year, when those new school supplies come out, I get giddy. There is no other smell like a new box of Crayolas! Last year, Target started putting out their school supplies before the end of June. I took a picture and stuck it in PL. I also told the guy he ruined my summer and it was much too soon to see notebooks and folders out. He laughed and agreed with me.
I want to go smell crayons now. No...I'm not that strange!

Oh Me! My youngest starts senior school this year and so she will need school supplies for the first time. I am already eyeing up the stationary aisle and looking at pencil cases. Of course we will need "extras" just in case. I work in a school as well and make a lot of my own resources which is a great excuse for more extra.

Me! I love back to school shopping, but I am a nerd like that I always stock up up on what we need while it is cheap. Then I have small cupboard that is out own personal stationary "store". I love having what we need when we need it, and must of it does not cost a lot either. Same here! I have an over-the-door clear shoe organizer, that houses most of our supplies. I keep inventory of it (and what I spent) throughout the year, so I know when July 4th rolls around, I'll be ready to restock our stash when the sales start!! I dislike paying full price halfway through the year when my kids run out of something! Thank goodness I'm not the only one

In the last two years here they've handed out the list of what you need to buy on the first day of school. We are all like a bunch of crazy people at the store that night because it's expected the next day. If you try to buy ahead, during the sales, it's decided that those things are not needed (and are sometimes provided by the school). I don't mind buying the stuff but don't like the added pressure of having to get it that night. The stacks of paperwork that you need to fill out for each kid is staggering, and it's different for each school, and is also expected to be turned in the next day.

I love buying school supplies, but my kids have been out for 5 weeks and go back in 2, so we need to buy them asap. I kind of hate how great the sales are later in the summer, because we usually wind up paying quite a bit more than those of you who have the luxury of shopping in August. I actually buy ahead for the next year usually, but last summer I was not on the ball so this year is going to be expensive! Oops.

I like to buy stuff to put into the shoeboxes at Christmas and to take to Cuba when I go on vacation in the winter.
