Said cheese would go in the trash. I've got an active imagination and would decide that it was probably infected with all kinds of driveway cooties that would make it inedible, wrapper and wax shell or not.

Baybels are sold non-refrigerated here, so lack of refrigeration isn't an issue. But, since I don't know whose dirty mitts have been on it, I would pass.. But... But... it's wrapped in cellophane and WAX! ![(rofl)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/rofl.png)

It really isn't worth it if I have to personally disinfect myself prior to cheese consumption...

If it landed on a cupcake would that make it cheesecake? If so, I would eat it.

I loved how you handled it-keep 'em guessing! If the cheese was dropped less than an hour or two, I'd have no problems eating it knowing that it's sealed well. If it was any longer, I'd unwrap it and throw it in the bushes or ditch. Some animal would happen upon it and have a once in a lifetime amazing snack!

Sometimes I wonder what it must be like in Sharlag's head. LOL
Truth: I'd probably inspect it for cooties then eat it.

Call me overly cautious, but I would never consider eating anything I found on the ground, not matter how well sealed it was. I'm not a germophobe but the thought of doing that makes me shudder. You have no idea how long it's been there or who dropped it (or why). I wouldn't trust it for various reasons - it would be tossed.

If I knew it was ME that dropped it and had an idea how long it had been there, I MIGHT consider eating it. If I didn't know where it came from, or it was 100 degrees out like it is here, I wouldn't touch it with a 10 ft. poll.

I had trouble trying to decide if I wanted to toss or keep the Babybel my DS left on the kitchen counter the other day because he couldn't remember how long it had been out. Our kitchen is air conditioned, but I still don't know what to do with it. It's still in the fridge a week later.
The driveway would be easier: garbage for sure.

Well, since it's fully wrapped and the whole point of cheese was so you could preserve milk and cream so it didn't have to be refrigerated, I would probably consider it fine. I mean, you bought it. You knew where it came from and how long it had been there. I don't see much of an issue with it.

I wouldn't eat it, but I don't like cheese. My son said he doesn't like those, which I thought was odd b/c he loves cheese. Come to find out, he ate one without taking the red wax off! The boy is book smart, but has NO common sense. We joke that we'll have to hire a nanny for him to live with if he were to leave home.
