Dang it, I always seem to end up wearing m gym clothes all day on Monday. So yeah, I'm wearing something from the Mrs. David Niven athletic collection.

I forgot to take a photo, but I wore my raw hem denim jeans with a pink tshirt, and Birkenstock. Nothing fabulous, lol.

Last minute Dh needed to go meet with a client that he really dislikes, but I get along with just fine, so he asked me to come along. I slipped into a Talbots pencil skirt with a navy, periwinkle, white and pink paisley sort of print with a silk navy t-shirt and a pair of low heeled Mary Jane pumps.

After getting home from vacation and spending my day yesterday in sweatpants, I'm back on prompt today. I did skip the snakeskin shoes for booties. It's pretty damn cold today.

Hey fashion savvy peas, say a pear shaped fat girl (me) bought a pair of high waisted linen pants because she's got a varicose vein issue, doesn't want to expose the legs, and wanted something cool for the summer.
SWEET BABY JESUS! They are the most comfortable things ever, but I look like a slob. I've searched and searched and I don't want to contrast the pants with a cropped top. Nope, no thank you.
I have a cropped jean jacket. I tried this look and it looked all out of proportion. I think the jacket is a bit too cropped?
Maybe something like this?
Any other suggestions? I am not returning them.
ETA: It's these pants in olive and gray. The gray feels a bit more taupe-ish.

Yes it is. And it came from Target of all places. I hadn't been in target in forever and I just did a once around the clothing section and found that blouse

I think this is one of those situations where you need to tuck your shirt in. And I KNOW it goes against every instinct you have, because you think it will draw your attention to your stomach (and we are all unhappy with our stomachs!), but it won’t. And then a regular-length denim jacket, instead of cropped. It needs to come lower than the line between your shirt and pants. Seriously. Tuck and take a photo, and then you’ll never doubt me again.

I agree. Those style of pants really need to have a tucked in or shorter shirt. Just an little front tuck would work. I started front tucking my shirts last summer and couldn’t believe how much difference it made. I’m really short and it helps make me look taller and leaner.

Today I am taking dgd to her gym playtime and then to our weekly lunch at our favorite cafe. I got this outfit last year but never wore it. The pants have eyelet lace all over them and the shirt ties in the front with crochet lace sleeves. Shoes were in my closet with tags on. Do not recall buying them, haha!

I went back to the post and looked more closely at the links and I agree... the pic with the denim jacket does look good. I was thinking that it might loop sloppy with a loose shirt, but the shirt in that pic is a great fit and silhouette.

I just got back from my second covid vaccine. This is what I wore. I think this jacket is just the right style for GYPO spring but it always feels funny wearing it because I bought it specifically for camping.

I spent my day helping Dh dismantle our pergola so we can rework it. I wore black leggings, an old college sweatshirt, and my whitish Jack Purcell Converse.
I swapped the sweatshirt and bra for a maroon tank and black cardigan and the sneakers for my slip on Vans so I could go get a massage, which was divine!

I'm trying hard to get motivated to not only put on proper clothes, but to change things up as well. I'm running a couple of errands today, and we're cold for us - low 60s. Girlfriend ankle length jeans, grey cashmere sweater with a French tuck into my new black belt with a cool roundy silver buckle, black wing tip oxfords. My hair is in a low side bun. I liked the outfit in theory, but felt I looked washed out. Then Gennifer advice came to mind about colour near our face for us fair girls. I threw on a sunny yellow and orange Vera neck scarf, from the 60s or 70s, that was my grandmother's. I feel terribly cute.

Where did you get your pants? I really like them, that is the fit I want. They look so comfortable! I can't find jeans that are comfortable, so I try to avoid going anywhere where I have to wear jeans. (I don't own any pants that aren't jeans).

They come in a variety of colors. The only thing I would recommend if you buy online is to size up one size. I had to buy a 16 and I normally wear a 14 in Old Navy jeans.

I hope these aren't huge. The first one was last Saturday while shopping for new bushes since Snowmageddon killed 6 in the backyard. This one was for lunch with a friend on Monday This is what I wore to go get my second vaccine shot. Shirt says Be Bold, Be Brave, Be Kind. I later decided I should have worn my gold shoes to go with the gold in my shirt. Ah well, Next time!
