When I looked a bit more closely, I realized that it is very similar to a pattern for a card that my CTMH rep gave me years ago, which was also called an explosion card. It’s not identical, but similar. I decided to use my Silhouette to create a cutting file, and I made one that is 5x5 instead of 6x6. Once I get the front of the card decorated, I’ll post it. I did make one mistake, which I noticed after the explosion part was finished. I decided to keep it as is, just because I liked how it turned out.
My CTMH rep said that the reason it was called an explosion card is that if you put glitter and sequins in it, when the recipient opens it, they get kind of an explosion of glitter and sequins all over. It makes a mess. Not sure I would actually put anything inside, though.
