Oh, swell.
Now the normal range of reproductive anomalies - menstrual glitches, miscarriage, birth defects, infertility - will be blamed on merely being in the presence of people who magically shed their evil vaccines through the air.
Next: “Anguished Men Report Erectile Dysfunction and Low Sperm Count After Sharing Elevator with Vaccinated Coworkers.”
It’s like a dystopian plummeting-birth-rate novel. Move over, Margaret Atwood and P.D. James.

Move over, Margaret Atwood and P.D. James. Yep. The anti-vaxxers are desperate to shift attention from their own covidiacy. And it's not just reproductive issues. A mom on the college parent FB group I belong to was asking for prayers/thoughts concerning some sudden onset vision issues, difficulty with speech and comprehension her ds was experiencing. It was suggested that he was "suffering symptoms from the shedding/transmitting of spike proteins from someone around him that had recently been vaccinated". The stupid is out there. (ER diagnosed a complex migraine with aura.)

And this is why I still can’t convince my mom to get a vaccine. She was telling me today that the vaccine causes dementia. Umm no. Covid can have neurological effects but I haven’t seen anything about the vaccine causing neuro issues.
I wish she would not look at alternative news sites. Since she believes CNN is completely corrupt I have tried to steer her to other reputable sources, but no. She keeps going back to the fringe sources.
She also mentioned that she couldn’t believe they were testing the vaccine on young children. By this point I was extremely frustrated and I snapped back “well if all the adults would get vaccinated we would probably reach herd immunity without vaccinating preschoolers!”
Sorry for the derail and rant, I’ve just had enough today!

This is the kind of thing you're supporting if you're in favor of vouchers for private schools and/or public money being diverted to unregulated charter schools. They can teach any damn thing they want and your tax dollars pay for it. Exactly my thoughts. That article is literally one of the dumbest things I’ve ever read and to think she’s the head of a place that is educating children is horrifying.

Not a violation UNLESS the info is given out by a medical personnel. HIPAA does not come into play in this instance.

I’d really be interested to examine the curriculum at this school. I have...predictions. Their focus is on happiness and nutrition. The students all dress in a variety of brightly colored uniforms. They eat organic foods and practice mindfulness. Funny, some of the students had masks hanging around their necks in the photos. No one was wearing one. I read that that's the focus/vision. But...What do they read? What does history class look like? What does science class look like? How is critical thinking taught? Again... I have predictions.

I'm going to guess that parents sending their kids to this school are cool with her wackadoo beliefs. I wouldn't be sending my kid to such a school and that's my right. I'm guessing that more wackadoos that share their beliefs about vaccines will look to enroll their kids. I would hope, sane parents, if any, would pull their kids.
Covid has taught me to never underestimate the stupidity of my fellow Americans. It's really embarrassing and truth be told, exhausting at this point. Just when you think they can't get any dumber, hold my beer.....

I’ve been fascinated by this story because it’s so unbelievable. I’ve checked out their Facebook page. They’re scrubbing comments. I’m curious as to how much they pay their teachers. I’m surprised that one of their administrative staff (none of which have background in education) has a degree in epidemiology. Edited: and just like that, their FB and IG pages are gone.
I'm super curious about this too. Around here the private schools that charge 30k do pay their teachers well, but most of those schools have been around for decades and the jobs are competitive. Something tells me that isn't the case in this situation.

Then I read this part: The Centner Academy opened in 2019 for students in prekindergarten through eighth grade, promoting itself as a “happiness school” focused on children’s mindfulness and emotional intelligence. The school prominently advertises on its website support for “medical freedom from mandated vaccines.” and realised that the parents are probably right behind good old Leila. And maybe most / some of / a lot of the teachers there are anti vaxxers too. I mean, why would you choose to work at a school that supports "medical freedom from mandated vaccines" if you're not of that mindset too? Little off topic, but these kids will be so happy after having chicken pox they develop shingles later in life... Or even serious long haul issues after Covid!

I can't believe someone that stupid is educating kids and other stupid people are paying her for that. A large percentage of the US population is much stupider than we think it is.

And cuz "America" and "stupid", here are some facts. Not that that means anything to those who value beliefs > facts. "Fact Check-COVID vaccines do not ‘shed’ from one person to another and then cause reproductive problems" False claims that the coronavirus vaccines can be passed – or “shed” – from an immunized person to an unvaccinated woman and then somehow affect the woman’s reproductive system are whipping around social media. Top medical experts agree that it is impossible for a person to transmit the vaccines to people they happen to be near and for a woman to experience miscarriage, menstrual cycle changes, and other reproductive problems by being around a vaccinated person. “This is a conspiracy that has been created to weaken trust in a series of vaccines that have been demonstrated in clinical trials to be safe and effective,” said Dr Christopher Zahn, Vice President for Practice Activities at the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the leading U.S. organization for medical professionals in women’s healthcare. Calling the vaccines “our single best tool for confronting a global pandemic that has taken 600,000 lives in this country alone,” Zahn added in a statement emailed to Reuters that “such conspiracies and false narratives are dangerous and have nothing to do with science.” www.reuters.com/article/factcheck-covid19vaccine-reproductivepro/fact-check-covid-vaccines-do-not-shed-from-one-person-to-another-and-then-cause-reproductive-problems-idUSL1N2MG256

If you're interested in reality here's a small study done retrospectively on women who'd had COVID (not the vaccine) and their periods: "Conclusions Average sex hormone concentrations and ovarian reserve did not change significantly in COVID-19 women of child-bearing age. Nearly one-fifth of patients exhibited a menstrual volume decrease or cycle prolongation. The menstruation changes of these patients might be the consequence of transient sex hormone changes caused by suppression of ovarian function that quickly resume after recovery." www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S1472648320305253

The special kind of teachers who teach at this school are probably the same kind of special as the admin so I don’t imagine it will have much of an impact. I imagine that level of stupid is the perfect example of “you are the company you keep.”
It is extremely frustrating that this kind of stupidity is so widespread and just getting worse.

The teachers should vaccinate en masse and let the school deal with it. I do not understand people. I was thinking that too... and then quit. Like right before school starts... HOW can people be so ignorant and still function??

I am also guessing that this is the case. I said earlier that I wonder what they get paid. Around here, public school teachers tend to make better money than their private school counterparts. I'm thinking back to when I read articles about a certain infamous for-profit charter school corporation in NYC, where the teaching staff had to commit to essentially being on campus for 12-14 hours and were subject to some draconian expectations, and yet they made subpar money.

In February, the Centners welcomed a special guest to speak to students: Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the prominent antivaccine activist. (Mr. Kennedy was suspended from Instagram a few days later for promoting Covid-19 vaccine misinformation.) this is the idiot my older sister was listening to and why she's not getting the COVID vaccination... her reasoning? "he's a Kennedy; he MUST be telling the truth." My sister USED to be reasonable, or so I thought. I hope the vaccinated teachers at that school can bring some sort of a lawsuit against the school owners.

How are schools like these allowed to continue to operate? I mean, I know! Florida. USA. Shit, this would mean immediate closure and inquiry where I live. Vaccine shedders affecting the menstrual cycle, I have heard it all, I swear. I'll give credit where it's due: these conspiracy loonies have some sense of imagination.
Now excuse me as I continue to merrily bleed my mensies as usual and on schedule despite having safely and socially distant met up with 3 fully vaccinated people recently. Clearly, I deserve extra chocolate to reward my immune system for not falling prey to their shedding. PHEW, we did it, female body! *high fives uterus*
