Good morning and welcome to May! The April crafts were so fantastic, I can't wait to see what you are up to in May. Right now I've got my vacation yarn shawl on my hook. Since the yarn is quite busy, I went with the simple Dragonbelly shawl pattern. I also want to start the Whatchamacallit blanket, as well. I want to show you this fabulous blanket I saw posted on Facebook by Sixel Designs this week. You know what a scary Halloween lover I am, so when this pattern is released, you know I'm all over it. grammadee please send the Scrapbooking Board other crafters over here to show off their crafts outside of scrapbooking. Happy May, all.

Hello jeremysgirl hello all, I can not believe it’s May already. April seems to have passed me by in a blink. I love Sixel Design images. She’s got some great ideas. I’m about half way through the left front of a long line vest, using that natural yarn that I started the Montana with. In using a different pattern the yarn is soft and drapey and feels so much nicer. It’s on thick needles that make my hands ache so I’m not totally loving it at the moment. I have the urge to scrap but can’t get at my stuff just yet so I may have to make the effort to clear things before the urge leaves me. Looking forward to seeing everyone’s makes!

That blankets wonderful, are you going to make one jeremysgirl?
I still have zero mojo to knit I have a project bag with yarn, needles and notions and a sock pattern picked out but I just can't pick it up and start. What does everyone do when they feel like this?
I have put together two journals, one is almost full and I've made a small start on the other. I'm having a lot of fun with it and hoping I can improve as I go along (and of course buy more supplies

lainey, I love your journal. I have the same gray damask in quilting cotton. I just ordered some various ephemera off Shein of all places- stamps and vintage look post cards, and botanical drawings. I haven't ordered from Shein before- I imagine it take 3 months to get them. That skull blanket is amazing jeremysgirl, you must make it! I have just been goofing around with stuff. I joined this Facebook mail exchange where you make collage art cards and mail them to each other. So I have been gluing and cutting up magazines I made a collage card, and a fabric collage bee applique (forgive me as I can never remember how to insert my flickr image, I get it, just takes a second!): And I turned a watercolor doodle into the envelope- I like how it turned out. I went to mail it, and I asked to buy enough stamps for it because I needed it weighed. The lady just printed out this giant label and before I could say anything, just slapped it on across the envelope CROOKED, I like, audibly gasped. We have really pretty stamps right now too!

Yes lainey I'm definitely going to make this blanket. I need it in my Halloween collection! I just love all things scary Halloween. When I've lost my yarn mojo I clean my house. And I'm dead serious. Some deep cleaning usually has me running back to my crafts. Lol!

I've ordered from them several times (mostly clothing, sunglasses, shoes etc). I've always received my orders within a week or two at the most.

That's good to know- I ordered a few clothing pieces for my daughter, so I made sure she expected them in 2 months, because she is so impatient. She will be pleasantly surprised!

I can't wait to see your blanket I'll go scrub the shower tiles and see if I feel any different towards yarn afterwards I just ordered some various ephemera off Shein of all places- stamps and vintage look post cards, and botanical drawings. I haven't ordered from Shein before I had no idea they sold stuff like that, I've been ordering from Aliexpress and Wish. I shouldn't look on Shein but I'm going to I'd love to see some pics of the things you've been making.

jeremysgirl, thanks. I really like insects, so I have been thinking about doing a series of little framed raw edge slow stitchings for my bathroom. I was just playing around to see how they might turn out, but I think he's cute

I went through all my old 12x12 papers, I think this is all Dear Lizzy, and made a simple collage page.

lainey I love your paper crafts. Maybe you just needed a change up from yarn crafting for a while. Sure seems like you've got mojo to play with paper. Maybe a shift for a bit will bring back your yarn mojo. Speaking of playing with paper. I scrapbooked all weekend. This afternoon I did a two page layout of all the crochet projects I did in 2020. I managed 3 blankets and 5 shawls. And you know what? I only kept one shawl. And three of those projects got a very lukewarm reception. So I've decided none of the projects I do this year am I giving away. I'm keeping them all for myself. Ha!

I have been working away at my knitting, doing a bit every day. I have finished the body of my sweater, so I washed it and tried it on to check the fit so far. It is near perfect! I am also working on a shawl - I am on repeat #6 of 12, but each repeat gets longer, so I have a long way to go!

oh Rainy_Day_Woman! My jaw dropped at the idea of a label covering your beautiful envelope! What you are doing sounds similar to the mail art groups a friend of mine used to be in. Your bee is so sweet. Did you design him yourself? sueg you are right, your sweater is a perfect fit and your knitting is so neat. I love seeing papercrafts lainey. I still haven't cleared a space to scrap. Maybe I should tidy the rest of the house first.

Thank you I definitely think I needed a change and I'm loving playing with paper. I finished the little envelope file to put my journalling cards in. Sorry about the weird lighting on the pics, it is horrible here today.

Hey everyone, here is my new YT art story called "Field of Rest." I painted this art in 2016. In this video, I shared how I painted it, the meaning and life lessons I learned. This art give a message of self care and permission to rest. Also, this video is dedicated to Mental Health Awareness Month. I hope you stop by and enjoy this art story in my YT series, "Story Time With..." Link HereField of Rest Art Video by Kelly Roberts, on Flickr

WOW, your blanket looks great! Love the colors! I’ve been having a lot of fun with my dollhouse lately. I love it because I can do so many different kinds of crafts! Can I move in? LOL! You have done an incredible job. It all looks so realistic.

Good gracious, look at what I have been missing! These projects are amazing. Love seeing the variety this month. Wow, just wow everyone! I have been so incredibly busy, and I want to play! I had no idea what to get Mom for Mother's Day so Monday I decided to crochet her a very quick shrug. She is always cold so I thought having this around her shoulders might be nice. I pray she likes it. I finished it in just a few hours. Super easy but that's what I needed to get it to her by Sunday. It's in the mailbox now. Whew! Now I need to carve out art time for myself. I am in such need of it!

Ok, it's official, I'm an addict I made a small 3x4 book to practice my collages in (the pages are made from Amazon packing paper) and I've put the papers together for another journal.

Just finished my latest Cannabis fabric project holder bag and storage holder. The patterns for my favourite storage comes from Debbie Shore books. The bags are reversible and the small storage bag fits over an embroidery frame and can be changed around and hung by ribbon or cord. I keep precious bits of vintage lace in mine. There are five bags in the pic. The sheep set are for a friend who spins and knits for a living. All my usual hand sewing.
