What a neat idea to fit them over a hoop, phoenixcov! If I had the space I would love a few on a wall for storage, they really appeal to me. lainey I particularly love your mushroom images and your maps paper is gorgeous. katybee either I have shrunk in size or your dolls house is just the right size for me! It looks so real and inviting.

Has anyone heard from wellway ? I feel like we haven't seen her in a long time. I'm wondering what she's been up to. Hi, Iife has been a bit involved but there are calmer seas at the moment. I've finished my Folk Queen and I love it. Currently, I picked up my Sophie's Universe again, it's a WIP, I had got to the point where you begin to square up the circle. Now on part five of eighteen parts. It's interesting and keeping my attention.

This thread is always such a breath of fresh air and so inspiring! I finished my Nuts About Squares blanket the other day and then did a quick halter top for my youngest and their girlfriend. They share most of their clothes so it’s easy to gift them both at the same time haha.

I showed my husband how cute the top was and he was all, That would look awesome on you. After I finished laughing, I thanked him for still seeing me as the 25 year old he first met. 😂

I LOVE ALL THE PROJECTS!!!! I've finished the back of the temperature quilt. The front is finished. Batting is purchased. Need to clip the threads before I hand it over to the long armer. I found someone who long arms and lives less than 10 miles from me! I'm so happy! It's going to be PRICEY to quilt at over $200! BUT It'll be well loved. I'm hoping to take it to her not next weekend but the weekend after. My batting isn't due here until 5/17. That gives me time to clip threads. I've been doing puzzles, putting vinyl on masks, repairing busted zippers in grad gowns for my 8th graders graduation, sewing up holes in kids PJ's. Staying busy. I have 18 days of school left and then it's onto summer fun. I have LAST years CHRISTMAS present books to finish for the grandparents. I've slacked SO HARD! My little guy is back in preschool so I have the damn scrapbook that's required of the school to do. Thankfully it's just April to June so shouldn't be too horrible to get finished. I haven't started it tho. LOL. Pictures will be ordered today. I don't print enough pics to justify a photo printer at home. CRAFT ON CRAFTY PEEPS!

I haven't done much crafting or sewing the past six weeks but I have made a few more rope baskets. I started this one yesterday and finished it this morning. It's currently holding all the remotes.

I haven't found a painting I want over my server so I made this mixed media piece as a place holder until we stumble on the right piece. Since things are opening up, I hope to go back to galleries and shops soon. In the meantime, I did this piece using various paints for the background, gel medium colored with Stampin' UP! reinkers for the foreground. I even used some leftover wall paint for the background. It's the largest canvas I've ever done. Here are the details: Mixed Media Dining Room art

Getting closer..... my batting was delivered today. I spent mother’s day clipping threads on the quilt backing. I’ll spend this weekend clipping threads on the quilt top. THEN I’ll meet with the quilter and pick out my all over pattern and fork over the cash.

I just wanted to brag a bit. I have been having a bit of a rough time lately. But my good friend JoP has been right there for me. Well yesterday I had a special delivery from her. 6 skeins of glorious pink yarn. We had just been discussing this yarn and I had specifically said I wanted to make a shawl for myself out of this color. Pink is my favorite. I was so surprised. She is the best.

I finally finished the binding on a quilt this week! It's only been back from the quilter since September. Dropped it off with DD last night and it is currently on it's way to Lubbock as a graduation gift for one of her long time friends. You've heard of kids who do the "scenic route" through college? Well, this girl took the 'long and winding road' as she is 33! We have been encouraging her for a long time now and are just so proud that she did it! The lap quilt is the Union Jack pattern that was all the rage a few years ago. The first block was made in 2016, the top was put together in 2019, quilted in 2020 and gifted in 2021. It too has been on the 'long and winding road'!

That's is beautiful **GypsyGirl** . The variety of the red fabrics is awesome. Thanks! It was a little challenging doing the layout of the blocks due to the variety. The college colors are red and black, so it's a pretty close match!

Check out this quilt! I'm in awe of this persons skill! She drew a log cabin on freezer paper and then added the curves and then cut it apart adding seam allowances. She said the first one was a challenge and then after that, not bad. Uh... yeah.... I can't even imagine!

**GypsyGirl** That quilt is great, I love it! I'm sure the recipient is going to be thrilled with that gift, I would be so honored to receive a quilt that someone put their time and love into. seaexplore I can't even look at that quilt, it made me feel like motion sick. It's amazing that someone can make them! I'm working on a blanket for my nephew's second baby. His wife is due at the end of August, so there's a chance I can get it done!

@patter and anyone else who quilts.... I have an issue. When I was trimming threads on my quilt top, I noticed that I have a really tiny, MAYBE 1/8” seam on a part of it. How do I fix this so it won’t come undone! I already did a narrow zigzag over the whole SA and then put gray check on it but now I’m second guessing it. I know alcohol will dissolve the gray check and I can pick out the zig zags if I need to. Is there a better way? I’m so annoyed with myself.

seaexplore when that happens to me, I do as you did and reinforce the seam with a couple of rows of straight stitching and a zig zag stitch to finish it off. I figure that is enough as the quilting will reinforce things as well. Also, I assume gray check is some sort of thing that inhibits fraying? If so, I think you have it covered pretty well.

Yeah... autocorrect made FRAY CHECK into Gray check. Lol Thanks for giving me peace of mind on this. I started second guessing myself this morning after I fixed it last night. This quilt is going to my DD so it will be at home it seams open and I can fix them.
