Very sincere thanks to all of you who hosted the virtual crops this weekend. kitbop, angel97701, jeremysgirl, Neisey, and joyfulnana, your generosity with your time and energy were appreciated by all the regulars and the newcomers alike. Thank you for making it possible for us to get together, face to face, on this underappreciated holiday, with friends who understand our weird obsession with paper. And thank you to all who participated in the crops too! It was really great to see new faces, and I hope you'll find your way to more Pea-crops in the future Mel , thank you too for volunteering to host, even though it didn't work out. I hope your computer recovers quickly from what's troubling it! And thank you grammadee for organizing this shindig and for being our head cheerleader

It was a blast, I think I hit at least a portion of all the session, even if I saved my seat or popped in to say hello. It was a great way to spend the weekend. When DH said I played for 2 days, I gently reminded him that in the "old days" I used to go away for 3 days of crops! At least I was home for this one. I completed 9 pages which is great for me!

I'm not a crop flake I promise!! I signed in at work as soon as I got here. I'm SO SORRY for messing up the flow! In the category of "things you read about but don't happen to you"... A varment... we think squirrel...chewed our internet cable!! So, I got all signed in and even did a trial run on Friday to make sure I could open up a room, etc. DD thought I was nuts but that's beside the point. LOL Anyway, got up on Saturday morning, no internet. Ok, easy fix, restart everything, nope, still nothing. Freaking out a little but not panicking just yet, there was still plenty of time to figure it out. I waited till DD got up, she's young, she'll know what I'm not doing right. Still nope. SO got up, same outcome. This is where I started to panic. He went outside to see if something out there was messed up. Nope, cables all attached, look good. We are all scratching our heads at this point. He decided he better call Century Link. No outages, they would send someone out. I tried to jimmy everything up with my phone hotspot and it wouldn't hold the connection but that's really no surprise, it's spotty all the time. So we wait... and we are STILL waiting!!! No one ever came out or called (it was a long shot on a Saturday anyway but they said they'd be there). Jerry was going to call this morning again. Before I left for work at 7:30, they showed up! The guy apologized, he was on call and hadn't even gotten our ticket until this morning. I called Jerry, he came home to deal with it. I just got a text from him about the cable. We didn't see it because we didn't realize that there is another cable that runs across the edge of the attic. He did reroute things so there's nothing in the attic. Now we just need to figure out what got up there and chewed it up, and did it find its way out. LOL

A varment... we think squirrel...chewed our internet cable!! Of all things! Don't worry I spent MONTHS getting our high speed (supposedly) internet to finally function. Turns out that ours was not run out of the brand new box just at the end of our driveway but a cable more than 90 more yards down the road. When they installed the correct cable it laid on the top of the soil through-out the winter into it thawed and they could bury it!
Live and learn!

It sounds like so much fun and I am so disappointed to have missed it. Stupid migraine, on the weekend, the nerve.

It sounds like so much fun and I am so disappointed to have missed it. Stupid migraine, on the weekend, the nerve. That's awful. I hope you're starting to feel better. And I hope you can join us sometime for the 4 hour virtual crops we try to have every Saturday and Sunday. There's a thread pinned to the top of the General Scrapbooking board with all the info.

I was SO looking forward to cropping with you all over the weekend but we found out on Friday that we have to move Lucille - our fifth wheel from where we have been for the past year and be out by May 16. We have been looking for over a year for an RV park or a parking spot in our county with absolutely no luck, for a variety of reasons. We've been thinking about Idaho because we have friends there and housing is much more affordable. Coincidentally I had Monday and Tuesday off work so we made a quick trip to Idaho to scope things out. I walked in Joann's and got a job. LOL. The apartment we applied for didn't come through. I think we're going to move Lucille there and live in an RV park for awhile until we can find the right apartment in our price range. SIGH
So hopefully, I'll see you all soon.

slicksister - we talked about you at least 3 times over the weekend, wondering where you were! I'm glad to hear that it was "only" life issues and that you are well and not shunning us Aw thanks. Honestly I didn't even have time to pop in and say hi. Glad I was missed.

slicksister add me to the list of those that were wondering about you! So glad to hear it was life, not about the upheaval, but I'm glad to hear you are well!
