Does anyone have a tried-and-true program for creating a graduation slide show to be shown on a laptop or screen at a grad party? I have all my digital photos collected -- just need to put them into some kind of a program and add music. Y'all were so great in recommending Zazzle for our graduation invitations that I didn't want to go looking for programs without the benefit of Pea experience. Thanks in advance!

I used Photos. It was really easy to just drag and drop photos into the album and then add music. It's a very simple program with out any frills, but it was incredibly easy to use. I just chose to keep them in chronological order and what songs and how the format looked and it was good to go. Thankfully, since I was still scanning photos a week before graduation!

I used Windows Movie Maker and it was SO awesome and easy to use. Of course they don't put it on Window's PCs anymore, and haven't for years. But I was still able to install it and use it 5 years ago. I am not sure if it is still an option anymore. * I searched for it, and it seems to be a lot of 'free' downloads are now ones that want you to download their trial software and then buy it. That is not the real Windows Movie Maker.
If I had to do one now, I would probably use my iPhone and use the iMovie app. It's also easy to use.

I liked Wondershare and used it for awhile but didn’t like the new update so switched to Movavi. Both programs you do have to pay for but I create a bunch of slideshows each year.
Windows movie maker might still be around and free. Or iMovie is good too if you have a Mac.

It would help to know what kind of a laptop you have or what kind of screen you want to show it on. For us we have Photos and Apple TV which makes it insanely easy to do what you are talking about. Photos will actually make a movie for you with music and everything. LOL, it recently made one of all the photos I had taken of baked goods from the past year and titled it “Good Eats”! Once the slide show is made it can be streamed to a tv with Apple TV and put on a loop to just keep replaying. I’m pretty sure DH has done something similar with Google Photos. He pulled together all of the pics of our cabin rebuild and set the whole thing to music. He’s not the world’s techiest guy so if he can do it anybody can. Here is a link for that: www.techrepublic.com/article/how-to-create-a-slideshow-from-google-photos-or-google-drive/

You all are just the best! We'll be using a PC. Not sure yet how we'll share it at the party. I'll explore that with DH and DD, but I definitely wanted to have some suggestions heading into this project so we aren't reinventing the wheel. Thanks so much for the ideas!
