Happy new week. Today I think I'm going to do a quick trip to one of the only stores that I actually enjoy. I'm not a shopper. It's a bit of a drive, but it's my belated Mother's Day treat to myself, since we don't do much. I have to start my day at AAA for a DMV issue and then I'll decide if I'm up to the store, as well.
Dinner is either going to be tarragon chicken or a new chicken, broccoli and penne recipe. I'll see what dh wants to eat.
Enjoy your day and may everyone have a happy, healthy, calm week w/some good news, as well.

I had another session with my acupuncturist this morning. I am finding I am looking forward to seeing him now after a bit of apprehension at the start. The weather today has been lovely, so I took advantage of it by getting off the train a few stops early on the way home, visiting a craft store I like for a couple of things, then walking part of the way home.
Dinner tonight is going to be veal chops, which I am marinating with some herbs de Provence, with a couple of different salads. Might as well make the most of grill weather before the cool change and rain rolls in tomorrow afternoon.

sueg, acupuncture is really good stuff. I'm happy to hear that you're finding it helpful. When I know I have an acu appt. I feel giddy, because I know how good I'll feel. Yay.

Today is overcast and drizzly. Typical southern Ca May weather...hot then cold, then warm, then cold, then hot. Get it together Mother Nature. Get. It. Together.
Tonight is Ina Garten's Tuscan Lemon Spatchcock Chicken with Ina's potato salad, and watermelon.

Back to the grind of working from home ... doing some marking ... yay. I'm feeling a bit lethargic today ... could be a reaction from my Covid vaccination ... at least I don't have any serious side effects Dinner tonight will be rechauffe Chinese food ... easy peasy!

Hi, guys, happy Monday! I'm having a really slow morning. Just working on a few reports. I have no idea what is for dinner tonight. I have to either shop or do takeout. Truth is, it's Monday and I'm tired so the shopping probably won't happen. Maybe I can talk Jeremy into tacos.

lucyg, glad that both you and your home are in one piece. Yikes. leannec, the lethargy is very possibly a side effect of the shot. Hope it goes away, quickly.

scrapmaven enjoy your shopping trip if youre up to it after AAA. Anything DMV related can be exhausting! lucyg my rice cooker tried to burn the house down last year too! Literally caught on fire! I'm not sure which of this weeks meals will be tonight. I'm thinking maybe the Hawaiian sammies and a salad.

Now that DH is working out MWF and golfing TTH, I took a walk by myself. It felt good just letting my mind wander as I looked at the houses I passed. I think dinner might be spaghetti and meatballs.

I'm one of those kids ... nothing was ever made with the name "Leanne" I hear ya. I could always find *Joyce* but never *Joy*. In all my 13 years of school K-12, I only had one other girl named Joy in my class. 9th grade speech. Do I remember dumb things or what?

Yikes lucyg and PolarGreen12 what kind of rice cookers were these? Anyone watch This is Us? I’ve never felt comfortable leaving my crock pot alone since the fire episode. Today for dinner is some chicken tortilla soup.

Doing an online cooking class of grilled shrimp with homemade pasta. We’re getting lots of use out of DD’s kitchen aid pasta attachment @sunnycamom. We have cake leftover from Mother’s Day for dessert. May purge more from the basement. The big project will be my jewelry desk area. I’m looking for a new to me desk that’s smaller than what I have currently. That way I can move to a better lighted area. It’s so dark I don’t use it now. scrappintoee how are faring without your dad?

I have to hit the grocery store today as I did not do it this weekend, and certainly not on Mother's Day!
I am thinking of kielbasa sausage, but that may change.

THE ARROWS HAVE RETURNED FROM VISITING cadoodlebug! They went to the beach in Half Moon Bay after visiting and attempted to hang out with real people who have appendages bc they just could not figure out how to unfold their towels for a siesta on the sand. Great Day in the Morning. They did see the art room of her dh, though, and posed for photos so he could paint them next. What in the Sam Hill??? Shrimp tacos and all the trimmings. Rechauffe from yesterday. Yesterday photos - Fried shrimp, thin onion rings also fried, and my Baton Rouge friend!

Tonight we are having Chicken Parm Meatballs (Michael Symon recipe). Michael Symon served his with creamy polenta but that would not be eaten by the people in my house, so pasta will be served with it.

I am thinking of kielbasa sausage, but that may change. This sounds good to me. I haven't had it in a while either. I might do a sheetpan dinner sometime this week with potatoes, peppers and onions.

Seem to help with pollen count and my horrible allergies, and a welcome reprieve from being on the alert for wildfires.

I am going to make a chicken veggie soup for dinner for me and for lunches to go with salads I’ve prepped for lunches.
I will make a Tuscan chicken pasta that has sundries tomatoes and spinach for DH and the boys. I can’t do spinach, not in the kidney stone diet, hence the above soup.
So glad ever one is doing well today. It’s a pretty day out here on the west side of Houston. I ate breakfast outside this morning and my silly pup enjoy playing in the damp grass. I guess he knew he was getting a bath later!

Happy Monday fellow dinner friends!
I've been MIA for a few days. I took Friday off to go to a mystery quilt day at a retreat center and the weekend was super busy.
My diet/nutrition plan is working well, I lost 4.3 lbs last week and another 2.5 today. So the wise choices are paying off.
Dinner tonite is grilled steak and roasted asparagus.
Wishing everyone a great week!

I like being able to toast the rice, or sautee add ins or bloom seasonings.
