Dark chocolate. Oh, wait, that wasn't an option. Semi-sweet. Milk chocolate last.

I'm going to be the rogue here and say milk chocolate. I only use semi-sweet if that's all I've got. I wish Costco sold milk chocolate chips in the ginormous bag like they do semi-sweet. But since they don't, I have to buy the little bags at the grocery store. I don't like dark chocolate much at all, the only things I like with dark are peppermint patties and raspberry truffles.

For cookies the sem-sweet work for me because of the cookie sweetness. Otherwise I'm not fond of the semi sweet unless the rest of the recipe is very sweet.

1/2 and 1/2 is the correct answer. Add 1/2 tsp of cinnamon per batch if you want to make your cookies really stand out.
