I am just winding down for the evening, I did a largish grocery shop this morning, then have started a couple of scrapbook layouts. One needs a title that I need to think about and the second I am waiting on a photo order to arrive. Dinner tonight is a yummy pasta with tomato/aubergine sauce that I found the recipe for a few weeks back. It is pretty simple to make and tastes delicious so I think it will be a regular on our menu.

Hi Everyone, scrapmaven I hope that you have an easy infusion. sueg Enjoy making your layouts. Today I have to go pick out tile and I am looking online for sconces for my bathroom. It ended up being fend for yourself last night, so tonight we are having steak, rice and salad.

I have a dentist appointment today and I think I will stop at the store on my way home and pick up steaks to grill for dinner. Dd3 is flying home today from her national parks Utah trip and dd1 might have some good news to celebrate about work so she can come over too and maybe we will all Celebrate together

I was up early to go to the grocery store in the next town. The clerk said that our Raley's knows the error of their ways as revenue is way down. Don't know if she knows that as a fact but from what I've read on Next Door, I wouldn't be surprised. Now I'm about to meet with a trainer at our new sport's club. Excited to get back into an exercise routine. And I bit the bullet and signed up for Zumba tomorrow! Dinner is going to be Chicken Divan. Yesterday both of our sport's teams, Warriors and Giants, won their games. Amazing how happy my DH and DS are when that happens!

scrapmaven here is to a quiet, easy infusion. sueg what scrapbook layouts are you working on? I am working on the kids first day of school layouts. I am currently enjoying some country potatoes I just cooked up - cubed russet potato, sweet onion, chives, parsley, salt, pepper, mild cheddar cheese, roasted salsa, and a little maple syrup. Dinner tonight is chicken taco salads using the other half of the spatchcock chicken. Dd and dh said the Ina Garten chicken recipe was delicious! The smell made me miss eating chicken but my tummy is really good and reminding me not to even take a nibble.

sueg what scrapbook layouts are you working on? I am working on the kids first day of school layouts. I am working on a few albums at once. I am doing a class with Shimelle Laine, and I didn't want a batch of similar looking layouts all in one album, so I decided to do this. The main two I have made pages for so far are from a trip to Mexico 3 years ago, and photos from Sophia's first year - my DiL sent me a set of photos each month, and I have loads for her first 10 weeks while I was in Australia, and from a trip they made here when she was 6 months old. I also have albums from Prague and from Leipzig/Dresden on standby, in case I need something different. ETA: There is a thread on the General Scrapping board, called 'Shimelle's new class - Half and Half'. I have posted the layouts I've done so far (not today's yet though). The first one is on page 4.

My suggestions/predictions have pretty much been ignored. We foraged in the fridge last night. He's traveling today, so I'll have to cook tonight. Maybe chicken enchiladas; I bought the Costco rotisserie chicken pulled into pieces yesterday.

Dd3 is flying home today from her national parks Utah trip and dd1 might have some good news to celebrate about work so she can come over too and maybe we will all Celebrate together I hope you do all get to celebrate some good news tonight. Fingers crossed. And I bit the bullet and signed up for Zumba tomorrow! I'm so glad you did. It'll be so much fun. There is a thread on the General Scrapping board, called 'Shimelle's new class - Half and Half'. I have posted the layouts I've done so far (not today's yet though). The first one is on page 4. I hope to get over there and take a look. I'm so glad you are having fun scrapping. smcast I was so tired last night I didn't get to pop back in and say way to go for your DD! You must be so proud. destined2bmom I'm so sorry you've been feeling so yucky. scrappintoee my son is doing alright right now. We are working on making things better. Today we had a online meeting of our entire division. My director asked if it was anyone preference to go back in the office in a hybrid situation. I said yes. And another guy (my only real office friend) said yes too. And then we had to hear from everyone else how no one wants to ever again set foot in our office. So while I was missing all of them, apparently no one is missing me! Ha! I know I'm in the minority, but working from home is nice to an extent. Working in an office does wonders for my depression. It's hard not having contact with people and something worth getting dressed for. Tonight's dinner will be kielbasa with potatoes, onion, peppers.

jeremysgirl same for dh. He loves being home but there is just something about teaching in the classroom. It really is a different style of teaching and then he can do all of his cool outdoor activities for math.

I'm so glad you did. It'll be so much fun. Me too! I've missed it so much since moving up here. My DS is looking forward to working hybrid. He and his closest pals from work are going to coordinate which 2 or 3 days to go into the office. He definitely needs the in-person social interaction since he lives alone.

Running a couple of quick errands in a few minutes, then home to finally finish binding that dang red quilt. Sending it off Saturday as a college graduation gift for one of DD's long time friends. Dinner will be broiled trout and cucumber/tomato salad that I prepped last night. It's currently 87 with a heat index of 95. That's all that I can muster up the energy for tonight. It's going to be a long summer I have a feeling. jeremysgirl - DH started going back into the office in April. While he didn't mind WFH (as a bit of a loner he was in his element), he said that the impromptu collaboration moments and meetings just couldn't be duplicated at home. He also found that people tended to be more guarded on their Teams meetings - in part because anyone could record meetings. His company is discussing a hybrid option for those who want that. DD's company plans to do hybrid when they return in June or July. She is quite social and thrives on being around others - something she has missed as she lives alone.

My menu board says pasta with meat sauce tonight. It doesn't excite me but the kids love it and I'm not really feeling inspired to do anything else. I'll throw a bunch of spinach and zucchini in or maybe spiralize the zucchini since DH & I aren't eating pasta right now.
It's another quiet day around here.

I feel like you guys here know me pretty well. I see myself slipping into this muddy gray area that is not true depression but is sort of a weird void. I know it's because I have no where to go and nothing to do. This is my slow time right now at work so there's that. I'm more productive at home than in the office too. But yet, I can't just walk away from my computer to do something else during the day. I miss human beings so much, yet, I'm having a lot of trouble just getting the wherewithal to leave my house anymore. It seemed like the only thing to do for a while was shopping and that's totally not my favorite thing. Maybe I need a zumba class. Sigh. Any suggestions on how I can make working from home less of a drag?

Are you getting your run in, jeremysgirl? I ask, because I feel the same way -- not depressed, really, but super unmotivated. For being a crabby introvert, I sure do miss my coworkers! I've been working 1/3 time at work, 2/3 at home, but when I'm in the office, only a few others are there. I'm merging into 50-50 this month, as my assistant is on a 6 week vacation (who okayed THAT??!!). I'm scattered and unfocused without a specific plan at home. So, I've decided I have to switch thing up a bit, and start re-working how I live my life. Get back into regular exercise routine, crafting, reading. Ditch the computer at night, stop doom-scrolling FB.

Unexpectedly dh booked a trip to Alaska in July. He has weeks of vacation time. We are only going for a week. He can’t stand being gone longer than that. I have to do research now. I know some of you have been and The Birdhouse Lady lives there so any suggestions I’m open. I ran intervals and rode my spin bike to train my lungs for the altitude. Hopefully 3 months is long enough to get that going. My asthma hates altitude. @sunnycamom yesterday we used the kitchen aid pasta attachment. We’ve used it 3 times in the last 6 weeks which is a lot for us. So far I’ve roasted some veggies for dinner. That may be it. We’ll see what I feel like after dog training.

Kid wants ramen soup for dinner. Easy peasy, I’ll get right on that. (It takes about five minutes to cut up cooked chicken and veggies to add while it’s “steeping.”) bklyngal62, are you still looking for Cuttlebug plates? I found an unopened package of them. Gave my Cuttlebug away years ago (when I bought a Big Shot) to someone I doubt will ever use it, so she won’t be needing more plates. If you’d like them, please send your mailing address. Off to actually read the thread.

Completed a new step of my independence today! My car is now solely in my name and I got a new license plate ... it's an Alberta "Support Our Troops" one so it's kind of special Every month I seem to do more things on my own ... it feels good! Maybe you just need to take some downtime and live slow jeremysgirl? Your body and mind might need a break ... that's where I am now with the pandemic and teaching ... I'm just surviving Dinner tonight will probably be that skillet meal that I always talk about ... chicken, pasta, veggies in a garlic and lemon sauce ... it's my fav!

leannec what is this live slow concept? I feel as though I've never heard of it. Live slow and accept it? Not just accept it, but actually embrace it? I don't think I've ever done that before in my whole entire life. Oh sure I have periods of rest. Like when I make sure I sleep 8 hours a day. Or maybe when I just sit and crochet sometimes. That feels like living slow. But to actually not fight with my mind over living slow seems so absurd to me. Maybe that's my problem. I just need to embrace that right now, I'm living slow. You could be totally, 100% right. Hugs to you!

I could use a glass. However new medicine and uncooperative moods don't mix with fun beverages. But if I could, I'd be in a bubble bath with it so fast...

jeremysgirl I think getting outside for exercise is so helpful. Tonight I’m making Orange chicken salad with Asian style dressing. It’s my version since the Elephant Bar closed down. Today I have zoom meetings and work around the garden/house and working out. I was a slug yesterday and didn’t get my exercise in.
