No surprise, the grifter is still at it!!! Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington, a watchdog group and frequent critic of the former president, filed the complaint with the U.S. Justice Department after an Instagram photo showed the seal on a tee marker at the golf course. Federal law prohibits the use of the seal to give “a false impression of sponsorship or approval by the Government of the United States,” CREW said in its complaint. Trump lost the Nov. 3 election to Joe Biden. **** Unlawful use of the presidential seal for commercial purposes is no trivial matter, especially when it involves a former president who is actively challenging the legitimacy of the current president,” CREW President Noah Bookbinder said. www.nj.com/politics/2021/08/trump-nj-golf-club-cant-use-presidential-seal-now-that-hes-out-of-office-complaint-says.html

Yeah, they should..
From the Washington Post- Greg Sargent….
“President Biden has now forcefully rebuked a handful of GOP governors who are actively hampering our national covid-19 response. This was a long time in coming, and it should prompt a deeper shift among Democrats, toward a more aggressive effort to hold Republicans publicly accountable for such malevolent, depraved displays of hostility toward the public good.
“Just two states, Florida and Texas, account for one-third of all new covid-19 cases in the entire country,” Biden told reporters late Tuesday. Without naming them, he called out those two states’ GOP governors — Ron DeSantis and Greg Abbott — for new policies that allow children to attend school maskless and bar vaccine mandates by local governments and state agencies.
“I say to these governors, please help,” Biden continued. “But if you aren’t going to help, at least get out of the way.”

What an asshole…
Over 600,000 people have died in about 18 months, the virus is surging and this idiot whines about the border. If I’m not mistaken most if not all undocumented people enter Florida via the ocean.
I’m just so tired of this crap that they get away with because no one, least of all the voters, hold them accountable.

Guess who is going to speak in Iowa... Maybe running for president.. not confirmed!! Bloomberg News' Jennifer Jacobs reports that Greene is scheduled to appear later this month at the Iowa State Fair, which she notes is "a traditional venue for politicians contemplating presidential campaigns." Jacobs adds that "it's not yet clear whether Marjorie Taylor Greene will speak at Iowa State Fair or just attend it" and she notes that the "Des Moines Register this year isn't organizing a Soap Box, which politicians in the past have used to raise their profiles for a national campaign." www.rawstory.com/marjorie-taylor-greene-president/

This shows one how fast these wildfires can move if the conditions are right.
The first tweet was an hour ago when the fire was discovered…
The third tweet was 57 minutes after the first one and there are already evacuation orders and no divert orders on some the equipment being assigned to fight this fire.

Lawyers sanctioned for election conspiracy suits against (Dominion etc) about fraud in the elections. In the opinion, the judge also noted that independent and Republican sources, including former Attorney General William Barr, have found no evidence of widespread voter fraud in the 2020 election.*** Neureiter took issue with the lawyers including former President Donald Trump’s groundless assertions that the election was stolen, without attempting to verify the statements. In the opinion, Neureiter said that including in the filing a debunked tweet from Trump was reckless in the political landscape of the Jan. 6 insurrection and unchecked claims of election fraud. The opinion said the plaintiff lawyers would have to pay a portion of the defendants’ legal fees, saying that the sanction award would “not be excessive” and that the lawyers could appeal the sanction decision if they chose. www.politico.com/news/2021/08/04/judge-sanctions-lawyers-2020-lawsut-502449

DOJ opens civil rights investigation into Phoenix city government and police department. I hadn't been following this (we don't watch the local news) but I just looked up the news stories about arresting protestors from a Black Lives Matter protest, and the officers said they were GANG members, and saying they're as dangerous as the Bloods or Crips. seriously? because they were all wearing the same color clothes (gang identifier, of course!), proclaiming themselves as such (along with Black Lives Matter, they were also chanting ACAB, for 'all cops are bastards') and were carrying weapons (umbrellas). The protestors were carrying UMBRELLAS to shield themselves from tear gas and from having their identities figured out by the Alt-Right people who were also there... to protect themselves from being doxed. Arizona is an open-carry state for GUNS, but we have to be careful if we carry an umbrella?!? Give me a BREAK. After watching the recorded video of one of the bond hearings, I think they SHOULD investigate the police force. The things the police were alleging were just ludicrous. And it sounds like that protest wasn't the only instance of things like that being done by police officers.

Three candidates who are hoping to run in 2022 were also at the Capitol Jan 6th with pictures to prove it!! Endorsements so far are not rushing toward them... Those candidates' ties to the Jan. 6 attack are the latest headache — and in some cases, potential political liability — for House Republicans as they deal with fallout from the Trump-led rally that metastasized into a coup attempt," Politico reports. "It's impossible to know how many of the GOP's still-growing crop of candidates this cycle took part in the riot. But Democrats are already preparing to lean into the issue of Trump-linked extremism within the Republican ranks, which they're betting will hurt the GOP in key battleground districts next fall." At least three known GOP congressional candidates were reportedly present at the Capitol on Jan. 6. Daniel Orden, a "prized GOP recruit" from Wisconsin, has tried to distance himself from the insurrection, saying he left Trump's "Stop the Steal" rally when violence erupted — even though a photo appears to show him in a restricted area. Meanwhile, Teddy Daniels of Pennsylvania posted a video from near the Capitol steps with the caption "I Am Here. God Bless Our Patriots," and Tina Forte of New York — who is vying to unseat Democratic Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez — posed for a photo wearing black body armor and displayed a white power hand gesture. Thus far, the National Republican Congressional Committee has declined to condemn the candidates. www.rawstory.com/republicans-at-capitol-riot/?traffic_source=Connatix
