Now the Florida anti-maskers went after Disney... On Friday, Orlando Weekly reported that a man from Seminole has been arrested for threatening to bomb the offices of Disney executives. *** Under questioning, Jordan admitted to writing the threatening tweets and is now facing a charge of "threatening to throw, place or discharge a destructive device," Orlando Weekly reports. *** Disney has been in a complicated position amid the COVID-19 pandemic, as they operate a massive theme park complex in Orlando. Their employees have often faced abuse in recent months for enforcing mask mandates, which the company has privately imposed even as Gov. Ron DeSantis has refused to impose any restrictions and is even threatening to punish attempts by schools to require masks. www.rawstory.com/disney-bomb-threat/

We know that Fox News has already forgotten that we started pulling troops out of Afghanistan when Trump was still in office, but now it appears Trump himself has forgotten. And NO, I do not in any way miss that buffoon.

I think maybe he's senile. He also forgot that there were massive problems at the border when he was in office. He separated parents from children, put children in cages etc. I would rather our European allies take advantage of us that Putin and Russia. Not sure what he's referring to there - maybe the Paris climate accords? And maybe the increase in crime is related to the pandemic that he ignored and economic instability for millions of Americans who lost their jobs or the problem of gun proliferation in our country. www.washingtonpost.com/outlook/we-dont-know-why-violent-crime-is-up-but-we-know-theres-more-than-one-cause/2021/07/09/467dd25c-df9a-11eb-ae31-6b7c5c34f0d6_story.htmlThe rise in violence during the pandemic appears to be a problem that is uniquely American, so broad explanations that emphasize economic strife, social stresses and disruptions to public services are, at best, incomplete. The evidence suggests that gun-carrying increased sharply shortly after pandemic-induced lockdowns began, either because police withdrew from public spaces or because people expected an arms race in communities suffering from endemic violence. The summer protests reignited a long-brewing legitimacy crisis for law enforcement and may have made it more difficult for police to reassert control over spiraling violence and retaliation. Beneath it all, the ready availability of guns looms. Put simply, social disruptions and de-policing probably have higher stakes in American cities — where a small but persistent number of criminal offenders carry guns — than they do in countries where firearms are not as easy to get.

Good grief. We know that Fox News has already forgotten that we started pulling troops out of Afghanistan when Trump was still in office, but now it appears Trump himself has forgotten. And NO, I do not in any way miss that buffoon. Trump himself announced the pullout of troops in October, 2020. This was a deal that Trump Administration (you can thank Jared and Pompeo for this) worked out with the Taliban in February, 2020. As part of this deal, the Taliban were to resume negotiations with the Afghan government. The Afghan government was not involved or invited to any of these negotiations. Instead, the Taliban violated the agreement, and used the time to plan their current takeover. It was up to the Trump Administration to take action against the Taliban for violating the agreement, instead Trump continued to hawk the agreement on his twitter account up to the election. Biden was in a lose lose situation. Unfortunately, this is the second time we have betrayed the Afghan people. BUt the blame ultimately lies with the inept negotiations and follow through from Trump, Jared (the great mid east peace negotiator) and Pompeo.

Now NJ candidates are on the 'what the.......?' list.. Shame on her!!! yes, she is following former. New Jersey state Sen. Diane Allen received harsh criticism after remarks attempting to blame the surge of coronavirus cases on those other than the unvaccinated. "I mean, right now look at all these people with COVID who are coming across the border, and it scares me," Allen said earlier. "They're put on buses, I suspect some of them are coming up to New Jersey — not a good idea. [But] the people pulled over from the border are carrying illegal guns or drugs, or whatever." That resulted in a hard-hitting column published by NJ.com. "As faith leaders representing a coalition of more than 420 pastors and ministers statewide, we cannot allow candidates seeking elected office to spread racist and false narratives about valued members of our community. Republican Lieutenant Governor nominee Senator Diane Allen did exactly that by attempting to scapegoat undocumented immigrants as the cause for a recent surge of COVID-19 cases across our country," the faith leaders wrote. "This type of fear-mongering and immigrant-bashing is an affront to Latinos and hardworking immigrants everywhere," the group wrote. "Sadly, it's nothing new. These shameful remarks are pulled directly from the Donald Trump playbook, and follow a longstanding pattern in U.S. history of blaming immigrants for carrying diseases and infections across the border, a form of 'medical racism.'" www.rawstory.com/republican-trump-playbook/

Gee after over a year watching a chunk of people ignore the affects of the virus and the simple steps to be taken that could slow the spread of the virus, some of these very people are now being asked to do the “right thing” when it comes to potentially spreading the virus. Good luck with that.
