It’s baseball season, which means a lot of time outside in the sun. I want to get some kind of easy-up/easy-down portable low sunshade for our dog. He’s going to be big, so I want to get something that will accommodate him when he’s full grown (over 100 lbs). Any recommendations?

I would just use a beach type umbrella like what Costco sells. But not sure if I'm missing a special feature you'd want for dogs.

I saw a pet cot with a shade canopy at Costo yesterday. They have it online also: Pet Cot with Canopy Would something like this work? |

We have a sport umbrella which would work well. It pops us like a regular umbrella but has a flat bottom edge that you pin to the ground. Takes no time to get it up or down and has side vents you can open.

I could never get my dingdong to use hers. It was like she couldn’t be away from my side when I was by the pool but wanted me to know she was suffering for it. We don’t live in that house anymore so she won. 😝

I like it, but I think it or the umbrella would be too bulky to carry around easily for these purposes. And he wouldn't like the center handle of an umbrella - it would get in the way of his giant stretches and flopping around lol I ordered the one sassyangel linked; we'll see how it goes at this coming weekend's tourney! |

I recommend that you don’t take the dog. All of the little league fields and school fields that my son played on banned dogs, horses and golf.

Our son's been playing for years and we have always taken our dog. A good half of families at most games have dogs with them. It's allowed. |

Yay! That one has like small sandbags on it too, (and back up pegs) that you can fill when it’s windy (it is here a lot). It very easy to put up and down, (I practiced from the video they have though) if you’re not seriously picky about putting it back in perfectly. Because they never go back in as perfect looking as they arrive new. I hope Otto loves it. |
