Remember how I posted a few weeks ago that I wanted to make sure it was OK to take a homemade gift to a baby shower? Well, I did, and I love how it turned out. I wasn't the only person who brought a homemade gift -- another person had crocheted baby items, and someone else had knotted a fleece blanket. The photo of the pink!dress! I made is below. Also, to refer back to an unrelated baby shower thread -- the only people I knew at the shower were the guest of honor and one former student of mine, and I really thought it was a nice event. I got to meet people from every job she has had since she has lived here, and so many of them are people she had told me about but whom I had never talked to before. One thing the host had us all do was watercolor some little paintings for the baby to put into a scrapbook, which I thought was a neat idea.  |
