I just upgraded my self healing cutting mat from the old SU! 12x14 one. It's black and my desk is super dark so anytime I was using a black or dark background it was hard to know what I was doing. I picked up the WRMK big 18x24 teal green one on Zulily for $21 and I love it! More space, it wider than a 12x12 piece of cardstock so I can work directly on it without bending or going over the edge. I don't know why I didn't upgrade before!

I already had the Fiskars 12" paper trimmer, the CutterPillar Pro, and the small Tim Holtz guillotine trimmer but, not being 100% happy with any of them, I was still searching for the perfect trimmer.
I saw a few videos and read many comments about the Creative Memories 12" trimmer, so I decided to buy it. I'm so glad I did! The cuts are sharp and the measurements are clear. My paper does not shift at all. I love it!
The CutterPillar Pro and Tim Holtz guillotine trimmer still have their uses, but the Fiskars trimmer will be donated and the Creative Memories will be my go-to trimmer.

I bought the same one last fall and within a few months the teal color started to rub off into my projects! Now the measurements have also started to rub off.

I picked up the Tonic Studios Tim Holtz trimmer. Best 20 bucks I have spent in a long time. Love the size, how it cuts, everything about it. It's my FAVORITE. I love it so much that I have a brand new extra one just in case lol.

Other than my ATG (which I could not live without) and my cutter (do not love any of the 12 I have, but I need one), my favorite tool is my envelope maker. Every time I have an ugly-ish paper, I make an envelope from it. The sad, sad news is I have misplaced it. I have torn my upstairs apart looking for it, but am afraid it is in the basement. Thinking about tackling that this weekend. A girl after my own heart...ATG (original red for me) and the WRMK envelope maker. LOVE them both!

Ryann that's not good! I wonder if I could coat it with something to prevent that? Like a clear shelac or a thin layer of modge podge?

Love my TH trimmer and guillotine. Use them everyday and with awesome results! The new domed foams from Ranger work beautifully especially with Distress INKS. No more circles! Definitely worth getting some!

I've been on the hunt for great trimmer ever since my beloved MM trimmer finally broke. I bought the CM trimmer earlier this year and I have issues with it. I recently went back to my TM guillotine trimmer because I was getting so frustrated. The hunt continues.......

I just checked the CM site and it has a 90-day warranty. If you're past the 90 days, have you tried letting your rep or CM customer service about it? I'm pretty new to CM but I understand they have good customer service.

My favorite right now is the CM trimmer. It's been out about a year and I find it gives me the best cleanest cuts! CM Trimmer 12 inch

I have the CM trimmer and think it’s okay, and it gives clean cuts as long as I press down a little harder than I think I should have to, but if I had to cut a lot it would hurt my hand. The scoring blade makes too skinny a groove for my liking. Most paper cutting is done with a Carl, my fave, which is a workhorse that can cut multiple pieces at once, but sometimes I need to cut narrow strips or pieces off of already narrow pieces, While the Carl can be used for that, it’s a bit awkward, so I keep going back to a couple old Fiskars, and now and then the CM. I also have a Tim Holtz trimmer and have had others. Tool junky.
