I haven't been able to go home for almost 2 years now because of COVID. So I haven't been able to buy very many scrapbook supplies. I did splurge on the Vicki Boutin Color Study 6x8 paper pad for almost 10 USD. We're moving back to the US this summer.

Not a woe exactly, (more of a whine) but I wish I wasn't such a late bloomer when it comes to supplies. Somehow I can't see that I like something until I see how someone else used it and then I try and get it and it is gone. Like Pinkfresh "A Case of the Blahs". Never gave it a thought (I am not usually a fan of them) until I saw some LO with it and started thinking it would be nice to have something like that in my stash. Now, it is nowhere to be found, lol. Stuff like that. Happens all the time, even non-scrappy stuff. I think I have no "vison", lol.

I have made a few shipments to my family, I usually pick them up in the summer when I visit but there was no visit last summer. I have quite a bit of stuff once I get back this summer 😀🤭 I don’t have a mail box here, it’s all courier so no shipments here. But we’re moving back to the US after 10 years!

Everything I own is packed up. Was getting new carpet but that since has been put back on the burner for awhile. Now do I unpack it all or just leave it in boxes until we get the carpet? Then was gifted a bunch of jewelry making items (I mean TONS of NICE NICE stuff).. but I don't want to get all that out while my room is all packed. awwwww poor is me... lol

My scrapbooking woe is twofold: 1. I lost my scrapbooking space in the move and all of my stuff is in unorganized boxes in the garage. 2. Not enough time! Between a full time job, four kids, a new puppy... I am lucky if I get a few hours a week to create.

Not a woe, exactly. I have a ton of supplies that are organized haphazardly into themes. This works well most of the time, b/c I can pull out one drawer or one bin and find several options to scrap whatever it is I am working on at the time.
But the problem starts when I think I need a particular colour or texture or image that I KNOW I have, but it isn't in the bin I am working from. It might be part of a paper collection, or maybe a stamp set. Unthemed products take up a couple of big drawers, and somehow my brain can't recognize what it is I am searching for until at least the third of fourth time through.
Then I start second guessing myself. Did I actually ever OWN that? Did I just want to buy it but resisted in one of my rare bouts of thriftiness? Did I own it and already use it somewhere else?
Then begins the process of looking for the also-ran's, the alternatives I could use if I wanted to. And meanwhile all the fun has gone out of the process...

I swear I like to reorganize my stash every once in a while just to 'refresh' my memory on what I have. And I have no where near what most people have. I am all over the place. Some is organized by theme, most is is by manufacturer (like Basic Grey and Prima and Oct Afternoon).

Duty and taxes. I live in Canada. I won a prize of three 12x12 stencils of my choice valued at $25 USD. For some reason Customs decided to flag it so I could pay $3.33 CAD in taxes and $9.95 CAD handling fee. I’m still grateful for the prize, but mad at Canada Customs. It is not like I ordered $100 worth of stuff where a $10 fee is a small amount of the value.

I can't find my SCAL CD to put on my laptop and connect to my old Cricut Expression. I opened the case and it's empty. It's not the type of thing I usually lose.

My stuff has all been packed up for 15+ months. It’s a long story, but it involves a lot of moving and changed plans.
We close on a new house soon. It’s going to be like a lifetime of Christmases when I unpack everything-not just craft related.
I also have the same Cameo issue that was mentioned previously.

REAL life has really hampered mojo but am thankful for the scrappy peas here that do the virtual crops. Getting a few pages and cards done, but would really enjoy having more time! Today it was about 90 minutes of phone conversations re: DS15. Every day it is something new with him and summer is coming and his best friend is not coming home until August. Augh!

I enjoy making special cards, but there's nobody who'd care enough about the final product to make it worth putting in the dozens of hours of effort that I want to gift them to. So I don't make them anymore. Do you have an elderly person in your life who can't get out to buy cards? They would make a fantastic gift.

I only ever really make scrapbooks of the trips that my husband and I take, and, well, those haven't happened recently. I am cautiously optimistic, though, that we are going on a trip in October. (My Type A self has an itinerary, has found places for us to stay, etc., whereas he is dawdling and not wanting to book anything right now. I'm antsy.) I'm starting to think that I may make a scrapbook for each year. I told myself I was going to start that in 2020. Never happened. Here we are now in May 2021 and still nothing. Maybe '22. Hah. I just can't wait to make something again - especially now that I have a Cricut and a Big Shot.

I swear I like to reorganize my stash every once in a while just to 'refresh' my memory on what I have. And I have no where near what most people have. I do this too. And I am a small stash scrapper. So I can look through everything and organize my stuff pretty easily. I cannot imagine having a bigger stash and trying to keep it all organized in my head. REAL life has really hampered mojo but am thankful for the scrappy peas here that do the virtual crops. Girl, I know this feeling, but please take time to craft for yourself. My son has been in the hospital since last Tuesday. It's been incredibly difficult. But I pulled stuff out of my craft room (no windows) to sit in my dining room (lots of windows) when my mom is giving me a break from the hospital so I can scrap in the sunshine. And it has been so good for the soul. I am trying very hard to maintain my own mental health as I deal with this. You need to too. Hugs.

Good idea, but unfortunately all my elderly relatives are deceased. So no, I don't.

Mine is my printer is giving me fits. It won't connect wirelessly to my personal laptop anymore. When I do finally get my laptop connected with the cable (which is a pain for a variety of reasons), it prints streaky. I need to either call them or google the user guide and figure out both those issues. A couple possibilities-the wireless card on the printer "burned out". Or, the printer is too old to work properly with the latest operating system on your laptop. (I don't know if you are Windows or Mac, but it could happen with either.) It's also possible that it's a network thing-a new router, new modem, different IP address etc. That's more in depth but just throwing it out there. The streaky printing could be bad cartridges, or a dirty printer head. Just thought I would give a few ideas-my husband does this type of stuff for work, so I see and hear about a lot of things!

Mine is ongoing. I want to use my Silhouette more and be proficient at it but I need to get a new laptop or desktop. Trouble is I don't use either of those things anymore and do everything on my phone or tablet. I don't want to spend the money for a new laptop just to use my Silhouette. Ugh....wish I would've bought a Scan N Cut, or Silhouette would come up with a decent app for a mobile device.

I will admit it. My main SB problem is the internet. Instead of taking an hour or so to work on my PL album, I’m reading this board, or FB, or playing games, etc. etc. I am now finished with school until August, and I am going to try hard to put a limit on internet time. Ugh....
It’s really dumb on my part, I go in creative spurts, and when I’m in one, I really enjoy my scrappy time. I was caught up to mid-March, and even have pics printed for the rest of the month, but haven’t touched a thing in two months. And I have a decent craft corner in a large room that is organized fairly well, and have supplies that I like and regularly use, so location/clutter is no excuse.

You can download the SCAL installer from their website if you have your serial number. I lost mine in a hard drive crash and they looked it up for me. SCAL download form
Sadly, my new MacBook can't run it since its 32 bit. So my Expression is cartridges only now. My scrapbooking woes are just that it's taken me years to get supplies in one place in the house, fully unpacked. And now that I have a space, it's the worst time of year - it's a south facing second floor room in the hottest part of the year.
