I’m also in blue blue northern VA and haven’t seen anyone unmasked though I haven’t been in many places (we do curbside grocery pick-up). My DH has been in quite a few stores and other places and says everyone is masked.
Double masking has dropped, and we no longer double mask, being vaccinated. Same with my hair stylist - they double masked until a couple weeks ago but they’re all vaccinated and think almost all of their customers are. (They still don’t do blow dries and limit stylists to two.)

I'm in Massachusetts. Right now everyone; however our mask mandate is lifted starting tomorrow. so we'll see. I work at a preschool and I am required to wear a mask at work through the end of the school year. I’m also in Massachusetts. I was in the grocery store yesterday and noticed all of the signs are gone but everyone was masked. I no longer am required to be masked at work but will continue in public even though I’m fully vaccinated.

Ontario Canada and nothing has changed here. Everyone wears masks indoors. About 25% wear masks outside. No date for when the mask mandate will be lifted here, but certainly not until after we have minimum 75% first dose.

Honestly, I don't know because I generally don't pay attention to other people when I'm out & about. I do know that almost every store I've been in the last week has taken mask signs down (in the only one with a sign half of the employees weren't wearing one...) When I do pay attention I am definitely seeing more without a mask than even a few weeks ago.
I'm definitely in the "you do you" camp. Want to wear one, go for it. Don't want to wear one, ok. If a business asks you to wear one (and the employees are) then I'll wear one. No sign, I'm most likely not going to wear one.

I went to Kroger this morning and was pleasantly surprised. The sign said mask not required if fully vaccinated, bu I would say over half the customers were wearing them, and I don’t remember seeing any employees who were not.
I have noticed similar patterns in other stores, as well.
Our area has a relatively high vaccination rate, and we have our fair share of MAGAs (although overall we are pretty “blue”), so I wasn’t expecting this response.

Went to the mall today and almost everyone was wearing masks including us. We're fully vaccinated. Our indoor mask mandate was lifted yesterday but I think it's going to be a while before people are comfortable going without.

Very few at the grocery store today here in AZ. Sign says that vaccinated no longer need to mask up and almost none of the employees were masked.

Our new guidelines went into effect when I was in Florida. I'd say it was about 50/50 in Florida and the same when I returned to Colorado a few days later.

In my immediate area I am still seeing almost full compliance still. Primarily because we have a mask mandate in effect yet at a county level through the 2nd. Step outside the county limits however and mask wearing plummets.

I’m still seeing a fair amount at Target and the grocery store. And if any small, private businesses still require them I haven’t witnessed anyone flouting that rule.
We didn’t wear ours at church for the first time last week. We were told to decide based on our personal comfort, and most adults went without. Younger kids and a few elderly people wore them.
Last night we went to a restaurant that is located in a little, country town nearby. I saw a few people wearing them as they picked up takeout. That was it, though. This is he first time I’ve seen waitstaff and employees go without masks.
ETA: I’m in SC

I went into some stores today to do research for the peas!
I live in urban Houston. I can report that at Old Navy, the sign only said that masks are strongly recommended if you’re not fully vaccinated, so I gathered my courage and Covid antibodies and went in without one. I was the only asshole in there not wearing a mask. I felt like I was getting weird looks, so I put one on after a few minutes.
No requirement at Target, but I wore my mask there and every single other person was wearing one, too.
Right now I’m getting my toes done, and every person in here has a mask as well, including me, though they took their sign down in the last few weeks.
By contrast, we were at another Astros game last night, and there was still not a mask in sight except on employees. (BTW, what’s up with those Padres? What a disaster for us.)
Houston is a weird place sometimes.

I'm here in Annapolis, MD. and yesterday I went out to my local library and to do some grocery shopping at Whole Foods. Nothing has changed here. Some folks are wearing their masks outside and everyone is wearing their masks inside. I put mine on while in the car and then walk to the library's doors or up to the grocery store's doors. I'm due to get my 2nd vaccine on Friday but I think after that I'll still wear my mask for awhile.
Regarding masks in my area I would say I've seen an almost 100% compliance. We've been very lucky. Of course I don't get out very much. I only go out about once a week so that might have something to do with it.

She also said, "I don't even know anyone that had it" I am gobsmacked when people say this to me, especially after more than a year of this. Off the top of my head I could name 50 people I know who have had it, including some who have died. These people must have really small social circles or be in real denial.

Our mask mandate ended but usually everyone is still wearing a mask. We also have one of the hughes vaccination rates in the country. The local news has run stories about people “still” wearing masks. I don’t believe we’re done with this & will continue to wear a mask. The country & global numbers matter more to me than the local numbers. As long as people continue to move about & travel and the virus continues to mutate we are all at risk.

Small town Texas here, outside of San Antonio. He works in a nursing home and masks are still required so there is 100% compliance. When we do curbside employees are still wearing masks. Other than that we don’t go in many places except for quick errands, but can say that most people don’t wear them outside, regardless of how crowded the sidewalk might be. Today DH went to pick up lunch in a little bistro/kitchen store. He was the only one besides the employees with a mask on, which is not surprising for our area. We were at a graduation ceremony at an outdoor football stadium in San Marcos last night and very few people (save for the students and faculty) wore masks. But we didn’t see anyone making fun of those that were so that was nice.

I'd say about 10% of the people I've seen out this week were masked. I'm still wearing mine, faithfully, even though I've been fully vaccinated for months.
I worry about my young grandkids, and like others above me said, it's nice not getting the flu or a cold. I might always wear a mask!

In all honesty, I only personally know three people who have had it and don’t personally know anyone who has died from it. I think a lot of people could have had it and either didn’t know or had it and didn’t say anything publicly about it. FWIW, Other than DH going to work every day, DD and I have for the most part been staying home. My kid did 100% virtual school all year. With the exception of a couple times outside and masked we haven’t gotten together with family or friends, haven’t gone shopping just to browse, haven’t gone to the movies or to eat any meals in restaurants and we don’t go to bars or church even pre-pandemic. It would be insanely easy for people we know to have had it and we would never know unless they specifically said something about it.

In all honesty, I only personally know three people who have had it and don’t personally know anyone who has died from it. This is us too. We know 3 people that admit to having it. We know 3 others that probably had it, they were pretty sick early last year, but they were never tested so we don't know for sure. No one else has been sick or said they've been sick. So there could be more in our circle, but we only know of 3-6.

Oregon - everyone is still wearing masks indoors. Outdoors, not so much. But that’s been the case for a while. I’m in Oregon too and would say the same. Just came to Alaska to see the kids and I would say it is one out of 20 indoors. Nobody outdoors is wearing one.

I live in a rural town where everyone knows everyone, so my circle isn’t small.

I live in a red county (the one with the Trump House) and when I went to Walmart last night, I was pleasantly surprised that at least 50% of the customers were still wearing masks. This is well above our vaccination rate.

Chicago. Cook County vaccines: 41% full and 52% partial. Still lots and lots of indoor masks around here, even after dropping the mandate for vaccinated people. I can’t help but think of the Pea CDC threads every time I go somewhere.
Definitely fewer masks outside, though. Interestingly, my Los Angeles daughter just visited (!) and was amazed how many fewer outdoor masks she saw here. She and her L.A. brother have reported all along that they always just put a mask on when they walked out the door. We and they had the same rule (mask outdoors when you can’t socially distance), but culturally, it seems to have been used differently.
(Regarding Covid, I know a few people who got it, none hospitalized. Unfortunately, I know OF three people - friends of friends or family of friends - who died. Two of those people are from the same working class extended family - and that friend says she knows dozens of people who got Covid and more than a dozen who died. I think socio-economic factors - both occupation and living/childcare circumstances, especially in a crowded city neighborhood - contribute to very, very different exposure/infection scenarios than my fortunate circumstances.)

We never had a mask mandate, but almost all businesses required a mask. Since the CDC guidelines changed most businesses are no longer requiring. I wear my mask inside if required. I have never masked outdoors except when it was required on federal property. We are no longer required to wear a mask at work if we are vaccinated. We also receive a monetary incentive to get vaccinated and vaccines are available for all employees on property at our wellness center. I had no problem wearing a mask, but find some segments of society turn it into some kind of purity test. I followed CDC guidelines.

I hear you all and I’ll stop being gobsmacked when people say they don’t know anyone who had it. I live in a state that actually has done pretty well with Covid in general and has one of the highest if not the highest vaccination rates in the country but I still know lots of people who have had it so I was surprised by others’ experiences. I guess I have a wider social circle than I thought.
ETA that I just remembered that although my state has done well overall, we had one county that recently was one of the worst in the country for infections. I used to live in that county for many years so a lot of the people I know who’ve had it were from that county.

finsup I don’t know anyone personally that has had it (confirmed). I know people who’ve had family members that had it. I suspect a friend of mine had it in early 2020 before we knew about COVID. If she had it confirmed that she did have it, she’s never told me. I also have a small social circle.
