Can we talk tool storage? I have many things stored properly but there’s a few outliers that I can’t seem to find the proper place for. How do you store your frequently used tools? Especially ones as awkward & heavy as corner chompers and the multi hole circle punch.
Example I had my 1 corner chomper on my windowsill with my multi hole punch, now I’ve bought another chomper, I pick it up later today. What do I do now?
Pens, how do you store your pens. I don’t mean those 2 pens that you always have in a cup on your desk, I mean the 100+ pens you also have for all their specific uses? The other colors, the metallic ones etc. You don’t want to go hunting for them when you want to use them but you don’t use them daily, those 100 pens. ( not my drawing pens those are separate and have a storage place )
Share your secrets with me. Please.

This is a picture from a couple of years ago, but I still have my pens and some of the tools stored this way. Tools are mostly in the organizer I keep on the desktop with my most-used tools in it. Others (like larger punches and stamps) are on the shelves of the little desk hutch. Lower right cubby of the desk hutch holds several of the stand-up pen/pencil cases so I can just grab one as needed. Those pens are sorted by type (brush, calligraphy, fine/writing tip). I have pens stored in other places as well, and since the time of this picture I've even added to the pen storage. I just don't have pictures of those. Some lesser-used pens are stored in a separate desktop organizer from M's, others in more of those office supply "X" shaped holders like the two stacked to the left of the tool organizer on my desktop - that stack now has 3. All of my alcohol watercolor dual-tip pens (knock-off Copic-type, LOL) are in a tin that I store sideways on a separate shelf (not pictured). ALL of my pens are stored horizontally - that is very important to me, YMMV. ETA: Most of my punches are stored in stackable fabric jewelry organizer trays (kinda like these lined ones) with compartments. I don't think I have a picture of mine, but I'll check.

My corner chompers/cropadile are in a drawer of my Alex. Top drawer actually. I think the Alex would be awesome for tool storage in general - my ATG would fit, my trimmers would fit - as it is, I use my Alex for other items and don't have room for them! My trimmers and ATG are simply in "open spots" within easy reach. Like my trimmer slots in between my thicker bins. My pens: I have a dollar store desk caddy that I lie on it's side (because I've heard markers should be stored horizontally...). 3 cubbies - 1 for sharpie/indellible pens, 1 for journaling type pens, 1 for glitter/metalic/white pens. I have extra basic coloured markers that I use infrequently in a pencil case on a shelf. My pencils are in a separate cup vertically because I don't think they care about orientation They enjoy the company of my bone folder, craft pick, clear short rulers. My scissors and craft knives have another vertical cup. My tombows and copics are on a different shelf entirely because I use them for completely different reasons.

All of my tools, adhesives, pens, scissors, acrylic blocks, most use inks, etc are either in my Totally Tiffany ditto tote on a rotating board on my desk or in my Tonic Studios Table tidy caddy attached to my desk.

Pens, markers and the like are in a few places, and this Organize More unit is handy since the footprint is small, and even if it’s not kept on a desk, it’s light weight and can be brought over. And the people who own/work at this small company are really nice. www.organizemore.com/collections/currently-available/products/standard-markerA plastic 6 drawer unit holds some colored markers and pens that I don’t often use. Colored pencils are in a huge plastic cup. The cropadile and a some other tools are in different Alex drawers by me or in the closet, depending on how often I reach for them. (A low, wide unit is in the closet.) Most used pens, Wink of Stella, gel pens, a couple Tosca paint pens, etc. are in a spinning wood unit from Tuesday Morning a few years ago, but they’re available in many places. Kind of like this, though mine is white and a little bigger: www.amazon.com/Section-Hexagon-Spinner-Finish-Gray/dp/B00UM0ZMH4/ref=pd_lpo_229_img_1/146-2354661-1141257?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B00UM0ZMH4&pd_rd_r=0c52e476-d67a-4fcb-b401-27ecdbdd9242&pd_rd_w=oaAg9&pd_rd_wg=HReHd&pf_rd_p=a0d6e967-6561-454c-84f8-2ce2c92b79a6&pf_rd_r=K40SVTAK6FY2B3BMS8E2&psc=1&refRID=K40SVTAK6FY2B3BMS8E2There are tons like that on Amazon, or even this kind, if you have the space: www.amazon.com/dp/B08PDZ1GH8/ref=sspa_dk_detail_5?psc=1&pd_rd_i=B08PDZ1GH8&pd_rd_w=cg5Ou&pf_rd_p=91afecf5-8b2e-41e2-9f11-dc6992c6eaa1&pd_rd_wg=yjhOy&pf_rd_r=W9JEK8REFJBTDQEBV22Q&pd_rd_r=cb4bcec3-2c6e-4ccc-b7a2-b4c731e5e3e1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUExU0lKQ09RTEdSWkxOJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwMjQwNTIzM0cwSEdYNUsxQVdFTyZlbmNyeXB0ZWRBZElkPUEwNzcyNjU4VDA3TUFRUjU1RlFDJndpZGdldE5hbWU9c3BfZGV0YWlsJmFjdGlvbj1jbGlja1JlZGlyZWN0JmRvTm90TG9nQ2xpY2s9dHJ1ZQ==I hope the links aren’t paragraphs long, yikes.

I just got rid of 90% of my pens because I decided I don’t care if I use colored ink when doing journaling on my layouts. I kept the black, silver, gold and navy pens but the rest are now gone! I use one of the small Iris photo keeper containers in the 5”x7” size so I can keep them horizontal. Now I’ve got lots of room in the container to find the one I’m looking for! Some tools I keep in a Boon organizer on my desk. This includes scissors, ruler, tiny attacher, 1” circle punch and a few single hole punches. I keep larger tools in a Scrapbook.com Stadium Organizer: www.scrapbook.com/store/sbc-storage-5294.html?t26=exclusive&t12-13=scrapbook+com&t2=storage+and+organization

Some of my more awkward sized things are in a 3 stacked acrylic, clear 12 x 12 paper holder. Most of my most used tools are in a tool caddy on my table.

Most of my small tools are kept in a snapware box on my table. I started keeping them in there to make it easy for me to throw it in my main crop bag, which is an old piece of carry-on luggage.
Zig pens and india ink markers are in the drawer with my inks, paint pens are in a drawer with acrylic paints. I don't have a cropadile, a corner chomper? or even a paper trimmer (I use a ruler and x-acto), but my punches sit in a drawer. I have a Big Shot with a designated space on a shelf, but it's usually on my floor which is where I use it. When it's not in use, my ATG sits in a "holster" on the shelf which is a plastic bucket overflowing with miscellany, but only on one side so it leaves a nice hole on the other side for the ATG to sit in.
My storage isn't pretty. It's mostly functional, but I'm trying to come up with better ways to make use of my IKEA cubbies. I'm always looking for a better solution to my storage problems.

I love it, I thought mine was Totally Tiffany brand, but I don’t see it on their site. I bought it at our local craft store.
