Good morning and welcome to June! I'm still working away on my Whatchamacallit blanket. I expect I'll be working on it for at least the next 2 months, maybe 3, we will just see how it goes. I'm also working on a Dragonbelly shawl with my vacation yarn. It is coming along nicely, but it is a boring pattern really. Perfect for such busy yarn, but I need to be in the right frame of mind to work on it. We will see if it gets done this month. I'm also doing the scrapbook challenges this month. I'm looking forward to having a completely down time weekend upcoming. Jeremy is leaving for a week of camping with his family and kids on Friday afternoon. Yay for me! What are you guys up to? seaexplore did a fabulous quilt last month and it is at the tail end of last months thread, so if you haven't checked it out, please do so. It's gorgeous. Tagging grammadee for the Other Crafts Challenge on the Scrapbooking board.

I have never painted with watercolors and always wanted to give it a try (like I need yet another hobby ) Since I had a long weekend, I watched a few YouTube tutorials, got some very basic supplies and gave it a go....I definitely need practice on getting the water/paint ratio correct, but for a first try, I thought I did ok.

Love the painting! I do lots of crafts but painting is not one I’m any good at. My grandmother and her father were amazing artists. I loved the smell of their studios and would watch them paint for hours. Both did oils and pastels. The drawing/painting gene skipped me. I can draw a mean stick figure tho! And my 3D shapes? Woah! My students constantly laugh at my drawing abilities. I teach math. Lol

This is my first try at visible mending. These are my favorite $5 Goodwill jeans that I haven't worn in a long time because the holes in the knees are so big. I did the first outline in orange with a chain stitch, not sure I like the orange but it took forever and I'm not redoing it. I've still got to do the other knee.

Happy June everyone! Nearly half way through the year already! Lovely to see your projects. I have a couple of things I’m working on, one knit, one crochet, neither of which are grabbing me very much. I’m itching to do some scrapping, particularly since a puppy came home with DS2’s family at the weekend. I need to start printing the photos! I’ve been spending some time on family research but First I have a tax return to submit this week so I must concentrate on that. Looking forward to seeing more of everyone else’s work.

Good morning everyone. Wow have I been busy. Lots going on at work, and I need time for me. I took time Monday, read a book, napped, and was just lazy. And because I have been so busy, I have gotten very behind on my temperature blanket. It was really looking pretty but I did not like the off-white yarn I was using. It splits a lot! So, I have been toying with not catching up and just leaving it. I really hate to do it because I love the colors but that splitting yarn and being behind now make me think. Monday when I was lounging, I picked back up my Happy Little Tree. That DOES make me happy. So, I may just keep going with that instead. jeremysgirl, your Whatchamacallit blanket it stunning. LOVE your color choices! seaexplore, your quilt turned out amazing! disneypal, WOW for your first go. Can't wait to see what else you do! @2dogday, those look like expensive jeans now. I would leave them how they are. Great job!

disneypal I love it! I'm shocked that is your first go of it. @2dogday I love crafty jeans like that. They are so cute! @patter I cannot wait to see your Happy Trees. I need to check in with my friend and see how she is coming along with my Happy Trees blanket.

I need to check in with my friend and see how she is coming along with my Happy Trees blanket. Yeah, I am not far but LOVE it. I am using the Hobby Lobby Yarn Bee Soft and Sleek Low Pill yarn. I have almost every color. I was going to use the Sheepjes but it's fingering weight yarn, and I wanted something heavier. My hexies are coming out a nice size which makes the flowers so pretty. I would like to join as I go but I am afraid I will want to change where the colors go so I am making piles. I will share in a bit when I can. Just jumping in quickly here between lunch and meetings.

I've sold my first bracelet but can't get motivated to start it. It's a pattern I've done before with 7 colors and she wants all pastels- my choice. I just need to get my beads out in the morning in natural sunlight and start pulling colors together. Why is it when you have to do something it's just not fun anymore! The "sale" happened in conversation- I wasn't actively trying to sell one.

And a new journal I made yesterday!
I really enjoyed sewing the papers together to make the cover even though my machine didn't!

I love the look of that one @patter . It's so feminine looking. I just love pink. Me too! Pink is my favorite color, and that particular shade--wow, it just makes it so stunning! lainey, love your collages and journal. I am in the middle of doing all of that too. I have been working for weeks because they are going to be quite detailed. Look up Willa Journals on IG. You will get lost in heaven.

My mojo goes right out the door when I *have* to do something instead of I *want* to do something.

I didn't get round to updating the May thread, what with all the medical stuff going on, but I finally finished my blanket for my friend. We designed it together, so that she could have a pocket on top to keep her hands warm and hold the blanket on as well, as plain ones just slide off. I left a space in the bottom of the pocket so that she could stick the TV remote through! She loves it, and I have to say it was quite hard for me to part with too. Here I am modelling it. That is AWESOME! You should put the pattern on Ravelry and make a bit of $$ for it. It is awesome, and you are adorable. Of course, love you haircut too!

Unfortunately most of that hair has gone now. My wig arrived yesterday and even DH likes it so that's a bonus. Actually the wig is straighter and more like your fab spikes. It isn't me, but I like it a lot.

My mom loves cats, I'd love to attempt to make this for her. I wonder if it's easy enough less experienced crocheters.

I wonder if it's easy enough less experienced crocheters. jeremysgirl is probably the best person to answer as she has made a stunning blanket by this designer. If it’s the same manner as others I’ve done it’s literally alternating rows of colour and single or double crochet stitches within each row.

It's just a matter of counting. Mosaic crochet is relatively easy. You just need to focus on the counts
