What are your current favorite card front sentiments? I'm getting bored of 'hello' and just plain 'happy birthday'. I'm hoping to cut some with my silhouette, but I also love dies.

Disclaimer: sentiments are not my strength! I'm use a lot of "sending smiles across the miles" and "a happy hello" I have a "wishes" stamp set that has a bunch of words you can combine with the big wishes stamp - heartfelt wishes, warm wishes, sending birthday wishes, special birthday wishes, etc. Not terribly imaginative but it's a nice stamp. I got another stamp that has a big "you" that you can combine to make things like "today is all about you" and "you are ---" (amazing, the best, etc), let's celebrate you, thank goodness there's you. And of course happy birthday to you. I'm enjoying having a big sentiment and adding extra bits on little strips. Adding cheers or celebrate to happy birthday perhaps. I also love all the puns. But honestly a lot of my cards just say hello or happy birthday.

I made 240 cards during the 100 day project. Most are 'thinking of you' 'sending paper hugs' 'smiles across the miles' 'sending smiles/hugs' 'thank you' 'happy birthday' and 'hello'
I also have a few koala stamp sets w cute koala stings. CTMH koala-ty days and some new hero arts.

There are a lot of sentiment strips from Tim Holtz, Simon Says Stamps and more. I like the Tim Holtz one's because he has regular sentiments and snarky sentiments. One for a birthday is," if you were milk, I would sniff you"! Great for a birthday sentiment!

I do a lot of cards with “Thinking of You” and “Hugs!” but also seasonal such as “Happy Summer.”
If you mainly use your Silhouette, there’s no limit. I also often use my computer to print a sentiment in a font that I like, then use a banner die to cut it out for putting it on my card. Or you can create a print and cut file using any sentiment with a banner framing it, using your Silhouette, as well as a die cut sentiment.
If you need some ideas, you could check out some sentiment stamps, but they can be dangerously addicting if you aren’t careful.

Sometimes I die cut “happy” on the front to show color (blended or patterned) inside, with the rest of the sentiment inside. Or stamp happy on the front with the rest inside. Splitting has been done with a couple others too.
thinking of you hope just a note hello thank you or thanks get well or feel better today
Our previous cat didn’t speak in full sentences so his birthday card to my DH said “today birthday” and was a little crooked.

I like the "you're not old, you're vintage" sentiment to use with some of the TH stamps I have (old phone, typewriter, etc)

A few others -
hooray make a wish Merry or Happy for seasonal cards with Christmas or Chanukah inside just ducky you can Nothing says happy birthday like a piece of paper folded in half (don’t remember who I got that from.)
And sometimes I try to match the situation. “Sock it To Me” was against a background of little stamped socks for our Washington Nationals usher who was reprimanded for wearing black instead of white socks with his uniform, for example. (Actual white baby socks were placed inside.) “Help, I’ve fallen and I can’t get up,” with leaves in the air and on the bottom for autumn cards.
And sometimes no sentiment on the outside. Or I google for quotes.

My favorite new bday saying is:
Happy Birthday to someone who's still got it even if they don't remember where they put it
I LOVE snarky cards!

I've been noticing cards with just "be kind" on the front. Who would you be sending that greeting to? It seems strange to me.

I've been noticing cards with just "be kind" on the front. Who would you be sending that greeting to? It seems strange to me. 100% YES. I have no use for "be kind" sentiments. Thank you for your kindness, you're so kind, etc works. But "be kind" is the kind of thing you hang on *your own* pinboard to remind yourself not to be so bitchy. We all need that sometimes. But you don't send it to someone else. I have had people buy my cards with no intention of mailing them, just to use as artwork, but that tells me I've probably made a motivational poster, not a greeting card. It's also the catchphrase of all the sensitive creators who put their work in the public eye and then get upset when someone leaves them a less-than-gushing comment (even if that person is obviously a troll). It's used to rally support around someone who has had their feelings hurt and handslap anyone who might've said anything critical. I'm over it. I'm a big fan of kindness, but not when it's self congratulatory or used to bully other people who might actually have a valid critique.

I have a few bday greetings; Need some candles? So many candles, so little cake. Count your blessings, not your candles, nobody wants to stand around for a piece of cake.

Thank you for your kindness, you're so kind, etc works. I would never use a “Be Kind” stamp. One of the reasons that I like to go to conventions is to look for card making stamps because I want something creative, fun, unusual, and/or uplifting. There are far better stamps out there. If I received a card with “Be Kind” on the front, I’d probably call the sender and ask if I had unintentionally hurt their feelings or something.
