If you have any box card die sets, which ones do you have/who makes them? How do you like them?
What interactive card dies do you have, and which do you use most?

I know you asked about die sets, but I love using Lori Whitlock's cut files for box cards. She's got some really fun designs. I especially like her envelope box cards (shown below, lots of different designs).

I have several of those types of dies, but I don't care for the way come out so I just cut my own with my craft knife. I do use their ideas and make templates like theirs but usually of a different size. I also have notebooks of examples I have downloaded or from books and magazines. If you go to Scorpal.com you can find hundreds of step by step instructions for making all kinds of projects. I have printed all of them and many more. I have a large box of proto-type examples I have made over the years. I don't know what to do with them, but I don't want to just toss them.

Thanks to both of you. I guess I should clarify. I have been making box cards and interactive cards for many years. At first, I did them by hand with scoring tool and trimmer/exacto knife. Then I used my Silhouette, and I have made a lot of Lori Whitlock’s files, as well as designs bought elsewhere (especially SVG cuts).
I’ve made enough of them that it gets really annoying when the finished card is slightly “off,” and I’ve done them enough that it shouldn’t be user error at this point. It occurred to me that a die set might give more consistent results. Maybe not, especially if it is just my own carelessness. However, box card and other interactive dies are really expensive, and money is tight these days, so I thought I’d ask for recommendations, and possibly invest in one die set that people love. Maybe. Those prices made me gag.

I have a friend that says she'll teach me how to use cut files but with shut downs and such we haven't gotten together. Hopefully someday soon!

One of the things it took me a long time to catch on to was which side of the score line to cut on. when something doesn't come out the way it is supposed to, I worry over it until it does come out right. Someone once posted, "It's only paper".

kkrenn, if you like Lori Whitlock’s designs, many (if not all) are sold through the Silhouette Design Store, and you can purchase the SVG version to use with the Scan N Cut. If you have a subscription, or buy credits during one of their credit sales, you can buy them for less than what you typically pay buying them through her website. However, I don’t recommend her beach bag box card. It’s very cute, but it won’t actually fold right to be mailed.

You would pretty much want to send it to another crafty person. I did that with Christmas cards one year. I scored the card and explained how to make it into a small box. I don't know if anyone did, but I got a lot of thanks for the cards.

Most of the friends and family who get cards from me aren’t crafty, so they need to receive a perfectly finished card.

I love the lawn Fawn ones. Magic iris, reveal wheels, double slider all fun. Great videos. I like the scrapppy tails birdhouse with house builder add on, and the new slimline mama elephant builder.

Thank you, scrappinheather, for the recommendations. I have the Lawn Fawn Magic Iris. It is a really good one. I will take a look at their site again. It’s been awhile.

I haven't done any box cards, but I've used several of Karen Burniston's die sets to make pop up cards. I've also done Magic Iris cards. I've bought so many of Lawn Fawn's add ons for it.

I love Karen Burniston’s pop up cards, too. I didn’t realize that the Lawn Fawn Magic Iris had add-ons. I’ll need to look for those.
