I just wanted to say I am sorry this is weighing heavily on you. (((hugs))) Is there genetic testing that you can done? I don't know the right thing to say but it is true to live everyday to it's fullest and to always be grateful. I am a hugger, so I always hug like I mean it. I just wanted to say too I love your avatar pic. You look so sweet holding that yummy looking cake. Thank you for all the kind words and advice and sorry to those of you who can relate or who have lost loved ones. Yes I've had genetic testing done but this will be the first time I've spoke with a Dr. about preventative measures other than just increased screenings. Thanks again peas. |

My mom died when she was 58, dad 68 and grandmother 63. I am turning fifty. Pretty sure this will be my year to "retire" and do something else. Everyone in my family has died from something different. Lupus, cancer, etc. It is scary and I do get exactly where you are coming from.

my mom died 5 years after she retired. everything she earned for her retirement ended in just 5 years. her employer got the better end of that one for sure.

Olan, I am much better, thank you! The first three weeks were a little rough, to say the least. I am feeling great, but still have a drain attached  Can't believe I still have the drain...it has been almost twelve weeks, but doctor says it happens that way some times. Looking forward to going back to work next Wednesday  Thank you for thinking of me. Hope you are well. |

That's a tough one to deal with. I didn't read every post and don't know if you have tested positive for the genetics. Just wanted to say that I hope you will take the pre-emotive steps and take care of as much as you can. And I'm thinking of you!
