I've noticed vellum seems to be really popular lately. I see a lot of die cut titles/words backed with vellum, and stamped and embossed images cut out as accents. It's such a pretty and soft look!
What are your favorite ways to use vellum? Are there any techniques you've been wanting to try? I use it here and there but definitely want to use it more often. I've made a shaker card with it and was really pleased with the look.

Mostly, I use white vellum to soften a bright pp or to add a layer to separate an element from its background. I don’t do much with it other than cut it to size.
Interested to hear other ideas.

I like printing journaling on vellum and then placing that vellum over my photo, whether it's an entire page of text or smaller and attached to the photo in some way like with a brad or a staple.

I don't have an electronic cutter so I mostly use it to tone down really bright papers.

Oh I forgot about journaling. I will print journaling on vellum, then put on top of cs or pp. Often print in colour and since I have an ink jet printer, there are a few minutes right after printing that I can pour on some detailed clear embossing powder, then heat emboss so the words stand out.

Wow! I didn't know you could do that grammadee! Thanks, I'll have to try it.

Now I need to see what type of printer we have. I think it's an inkjet.
I was browsing Pinterest this morning and saw some beautiful flowers which were heat embossed on vellum then colored with alcohol markers on the back side of the image. The color came through nicely and gave it a soft look.

I sometimes cut a long enough piece of vellum to heat emboss a sentiment onto it, then wrap it around and adhere it to the back of a card panel.
