Not here, we only got about 1 inch of snow.
My sister lives in Lockport, I was going to call her later to see what she ended up with.
Any major snow?
And hey, at least we don't live in the Tug Hill area right?

I heard the tail end of a radio report earlier -- did they say 5 FEET of snow? That's crazy.

Nasty weather here in Western NY...NYS thruway closed from Rochester west-south of Buffalo. Stay safe all... Every winter I wonder why the heck people even live up there. Northern Virginia is bad enough. Give me a tropical beach year round and I'd be perfectly content.

It's not that bad...we have beautiful changes of the seasons....the east end of Lake Ontario is worse...much worse. I love where I live

In our area of Southern Ontario as well today....sigh
It was my middle DD's graduation photo day. None of the paperwork sent home about the appointment says what the plan is if there is bad weather. The school phone goes right to voice mail. I sure hope they reschedule!

We live about 15 minutes east of Rochester and it is sunny and COLD, but not a flake in sight. Very glad it didn't hit here. I hate lake effect snow!

Seems way too early for snow days! I think i'm officially old...i've lived in New England all my life. I'm already complaining about winter this year and we've had about a week of cold weather.

SW MI. Counties to the west of me have pretty much closed every school including WMU, Grand Valley, Kalamazoo Valley, etc. When Western and Grand Valley have a snow day, you know it's bad. In my years at Western, I think I got one snow day and that was because of a major ice storm. Otherwise, I had to suck it up and go. It took DH 90 minutes to get to work.
Days like this may swing DH into choosing to take the job offer he's getting. We're waiting on the official offer and if it's good enough, the idea of a 5 minute commute vs 90 minutes in weather like this is very appealing.

Tug hill is supposed to be getting 5 inches an hour today. Luckily, that's about 30 minutes North of me. We aren't slated to get much at all.

Northern Virginia is bad enough. Give me a tropical beach year round and I'd be perfectly content. Supposedly, I live in a "tropical" climate and it is cold as you know what outside. It is 48, but it is also cloudy, windy and a 78% humidity-which means it is a damp cold. It isn't at all comfortable.

What is this snow day you speak of? It's a matter of pride to have no snow days in Utah.

I got the least amount compared to all my family, I am near Cheektowaga, and they are all in South Buffalo, West Seneca! There is more to come.

Praying that all of you and your families in the main hub of this storm stay safe, warm and have uneventful travels!
We have about 5 inches where I am, but the snow is over and now it is about 5 degrees and very windy. We are just dealing with drifting.

I got a call at 6:25 this morning with a recording telling me that there was a travel ban in South Buffalo. I looked out my window to a dusting of snow - I live in North Buffalo. It's been sunny all day. We "might" get some more snow in the next couple of days but it looks really bad for the Southtowns. (They just announced that the governor is sending the National Guard in.) Unfortunately, they're calling for temps of around 60 for Sunday and Monday. There will probably be a lot of flooding. This is one of the worst storms ever around here. I lived through the Blizzard of '77 alone in a basement apartment but that built up over quite awhile. This snow is the most snow over a short period of time that I have ever seen and I'm 63. There have not been any power outages so I hope everyone just stays home warm and safe
