Fluff: What is the first step of your scrapping process?

I am always Photo, Paper and the embellishment, the only exception is if I have a particular sticker/embellishment or memorabilia that I want to use on that specific layout and then the papers have to be picked around that. When I was younger I would take my stack of photos with me to my LSS and pick the papers to use but that was a long time ago now and I have almost two decades of paper to sift through to find the best match, that I feel is the most time consuming aspect now.
