I think it's a good deal. I have the Rebel t4i and I really like it. So far it's been a great camera!

I'm not a fan of stock lenses. When I bought my T5i, the camera guy recommended a Tamron lens, as it would be more versatile for just a few hundred more. So I just bought the body and lens separately. I'll try to report back tomorrow on which one it is. I've been very happy with it.

I have the Tamron 18-270 F3.5-? lens for everyday use. I posted on another thread, but we are on vacation now and it's the only lens I brought. I've taken pictures of the kids swimming, a hummingbird feeding, a family wedding (not the official pics!), iron ore boats on Lake Superior, pics of family indoors... It does just about anything I want and the zoom is fantastic!
