Good morning, tribe ~ our fearless leader scrapmaven has an appt in order to check the device that Bulgie has been bullying so we wish her well. I walked early (6:30) because it is going to be a hot one. For dinner I'll be making the grilled chicken, mixed greens, strawberries, snap peas, mandarin orange, bleu cheese & glazed pecans with a raspberry vinaigrette dressing salad that is perfect on a hot day. Last night's air fryer country pork ribs were very flavorful but a tad overcooked. I'll have to tweak the recipe next time. Enjoy your day ~ I'm sure many of us can relate to this meme!

I'm plugging along here at work ... I really wish we were online because it would give me so much more time to work on my report cards! I'm not sure what dinner tonight will be ... maybe Panko breaded pork cutlets with creamy noodles and some sort of veggie.

That damn Bulgie. Let's hope the doctors can show him who is boss. Thinking of you scrapmaven! I'm tutoring today. When I get home I'll make a dinner sure to please DH (me not so much) Corn on the cob, broccoli, and fish sticks. That man loves him some fish sticks. Thanks for all the kind words yesterday about Gus. You all are the best!

We will be spending some time in the pool today. Going soon so ds isn't out in the heat. Extreme temperature changes can trigger a seizure for ds. Going from 85° pool to 90° air won't. But going to 104° will.
Dh will be at his new site to fix up his classroom. He taught from his new site at home all year so he is super excited to get back and fix up his new room. He thinks he will be done tomorrow.
I didn't scrapbook yesterday so hope to do that today.
Dinner is chicken lettuce wraps and fruit salad - plums, cherries, watermelon, kiwi, and on the side strawberries for dh and I.

Oh and ds is doing well with dose 2 of Pfizer. He is tired and had some muscle and bone pain twice. No fevers! Just tired. So glad he didn't have any adverse reactions.

It will be a rechauffe today here, we have plenty in the fridge to eat up.
Hoping we will be able to go to SO's mom's to go swimming. We are supposed to get storms later tonight, fingers crossed they stay away until bed time (and in our case, that bedtime is usually 8:30!! LOL)
Hoping for a good report from our leader!

I am on my own tonight so I could get anything at this point. Maybe a burrito again. I am hungry now so anything sounds great.
Last night’s halibut was delicious and dinner was excellent.

I really wish we were online because it would give me so much more time to work on my report cards! The end is near. Hang in there girl! That man loves him some fish sticks. Bwahahaha. So do my kids. I posted once on Facebook that fish sticks and french fries cook at different temperatures so now you see the kind of stress I'm dealing with. So glad he didn't have any adverse reactions. I'm so glad to hear this. and in our case, that bedtime is usually 8:30!! Us too! I'm up at 5 every morning. Not much happening on peas until after lunch. But I get to catch up on all the stuff that went down after I went to bed. OK so I have some bad news. Chloe's dog (my little granddog chihuahua, Finn) fell off the back of the couch the other night. He seemed like he was not in any pain so we went to bed and I didn't have another thought about it until yesterday morning. Yesterday he seemed very "off". Dizzy, disoriented. Just not eating and drinking like normal. Following us around like crazy. I tried to take him the emergency vet last night but he was busy doing emergency surgery so I waited until this morning and took him to our regular vet. His entire work up was fine except that he is blind in both eyes. She said chances are the blindness was not caused by the fall as it would normally only affect one eye if it was the result of brain injury. And his behavior didn't seem consistent with brain injury. She said there is an infection which can cause immediate blindness so she did give me and antibiotic and steroids to try. But she said she thinks the entire thing was caused by a seizure. (He has a history of seizures). My DD is devastated right now. She will need some time to adjust to this news. Tonight we will go to my mom's for family dinner. We are having pizza tonight so my mom doesn't have to cook for us. She was having a busy day at work. So my sis and I said we would cover the pizza.

Last night’s halibut was delicious and dinner was excellent. I need to start and cook myself halibut. Halibut is very easy to cook and always turns out for me. I cook the flesh side down first and then the skin side. I use a mixture of butter and EVOO. It is always great. My dad likes lemon pepper on his fish.

jeremysgirl - so sad to hear about your dear little doggy. That sounds really weird, but maybe it was the blindness that caused him to fall scrapmaven - I hope all goes well today with your doctors appointment. Another fairly normal day here. early morning walk, as it is getting so warm by midday. I had acupuncture at 11, so that took up the rest of my morning. This afternoon I was back to my GP to follow up on my reflex problems. He was stunned to hear how long I had to wait for an appointment for an endoscopy at the clinic he had recommended to my to try, so has given me the name and number of a different clinic to try. As my appointment with him was at 5pm, I will have to try tomorrow. Because I had the late GP appointment, I decided to get take out for dinner, so I stopped on the way home to try a new to me Thai place that is only 2 underground stops from home. I got fish cakes and green chicken curry. Far too much for me for one dinner - guess what might be tomorrow's dinner as well? - but it was really delicious. Possibly the best Thai I've had here, and reasonably priced as well. I could become a regular, both for eat-in and take-out.

jeremysgirl, I hope the blindness is just temporary. Poor Chloe. I just read on NextDoor that there was a fire in a community near us and the firefighters did an amazing job putting it out. Someone shared this awesome picture. Bless our firefighters ~ they are in for a tough year.

Happy Thursday friends! It's been a busy morning, so now finally catching up with the peas. scrapmaven sending good vibes for your apt. jeremysgirl how sad about Chloe's pup. DH left for the ranch a little while ago, I'll go down for the weekend on either Fri evening or Sat morning. I'm going to run some errands later this afternoon when I get caught up. I'd like to sew this evening, I hope I have the energy to do it and not just veg in front of the TV. Wishing everyone a great day!

jeremysgirl I am so sorry Finn has all those going on. Praying the medication works and his eye aren't permanently blind. Has he ever been on any seizure medication?

Kids and I had fun swimming. Water felt so good. And it wasn't too hot when we got out (90°). Looks like it will only be 102°. Looking forward to next week when the highs will be 91° to 96°.

I wonder too if maybe the eye infection triggered a vestibular reaction. Sadie got it from a bad ear infection. It was like she was having seizures.
We had to feed her very soupy watery wet food in a small Fiesta fruit bowl or small paper plate. Also had to hold the water dish up for her too. She would loose her balance if she looked down.

Hi Everyone, scrapmaven I am praying that you get good news at your doctor appointment. And Bulgie better be behaving. jeremysgirl I am so sorry for little Finn. I hope that the blindness is temporary. cadoodlebug I love the meme. And the plane picture is amazing. I hope that the fire gets put out permanently. @sunnycamom I hope that your family enjoys the pool. I didn’t get a chance to post yesterday because I went out for a late lunch with my friends and stayed until almost dinner time. Then I came home and YDS wanted Popeye’s chicken. So that was dinner. After dinner, I cleaned the house, because one of DH’s cousins came over for an early lunch today. We had a big lunch, so dinner tonight is undecided. The boys went to the pool after lunch and I have PT for my knee later today. Keeping all of you in my thoughts and prayers.

It’s supposed to be a million degrees this afternoon. tuesdaysgone, I was so sorry to read about your sweet Gus. Hugs to you. jeremysgirl, well wishes for poor little Finn. I hope he has a full recovery. scrapmaven, hope all is going well with your doctor appointment.

I am trying to be more intentional about cooking even if it is only for myself. Last night I had a friend over and I made a pot roast with mashed potatoes and gravy, carrots and corn with vanilla ice cream and home made strawberry sauce for desert.
Tonight I am having the leftovers. I gained about 10 pounds during the pandemic and I am trying to cut back. Well, yeah, mashed potatoes and gravy shouldn't be on the menu but it was sooooooo good. My name is Lynn and I am a potato addict.

Hope you check in soon and all is well, scrapmaven. How scary for poor Finn, jeremysgirl. I took DD for her second MiraDry procedure this morning. It has been seriously life changing for her and she hasn't even worn a deodorant/antiperspirant since the first. While waiting I knocked off a few errands at the nearby mall and picked up some bar tools from Crate & Barrel for DH for Father's Day that wasn't in the plan. Before we left I cooked pasta and blanched broccolini for a lemon dill orzo pasta salad. Added asparagus and chickpeas when we got home. The only good thing about hot weather is I usually have dinner ready before lunch time.

It’s supposed to be a million degrees this afternoon. I already is. I went to the gym and forgot my water bottle. They have water fountains but driving home in a hot car was brutal. 101 so far. My name is Lynn and I am a potato addict. Giving up potatoes when I was diagnosed with type 2 was hard. I used to love potato salad or baked potatoes with the works.
