Good news for Maggie Holmes fans. She has responded and said that she is still designing for AC. That one didn't make any sense. New brand, new collection, new planners for her planner line. Let's just make it clear here once again: we're speculating here for the unconfirmed brands. I didn't think MH fit the AC graveyard pattern and I don't have the time to listen to people on YT talking drama while they craft on camera to figure out how strong their intel is. Clearly, Laura Alberts' MH info/hunch was wrong. I'm striking MH off the list. Do we have a screenshot of Maggie's response to add to the thread for referencing ETA: With 2 designer autumn lines and fans wanting a Christmas line from Maggie for a couple of years, maybe AC is finally agreeing to a holiday or winter line? Would they dare a MH Halloween release?

Maggie also has new planners and planner accessories out with AC March/April this year. If she's been dropped, it's very recently. They were clearly still designing stuff for her brand in 2020. While I have a very hard time with that aesthetic in scrapbooking, I do like some of the stickers in that line. It would be fun to do a very girly planner spread. I don't want to do a whole new planner with all the inserts and stuff she is selling though.
I think Covid has accelerated the demise of the paper crafting industry. I was at my local Michaels last week The one I frequented most, closed. I had no idea. It isn't that close, but it had been there for decades. I'm sure Covid did it in.

Unfortunately, AC's website is not up to date and AC do not like to communicate openly about brands they've recently ditched. We have direct confirmation from Elizabeth Kartchner, the brand owner, that Dear Lizzy is no longer under the AC umbrella but it still appears on the website. This is not the ideal source to cite or work from to establish the recent graveyard additions hence our many speculations and discussions. The "2021" catalog products are actually from before 2021. There are no new releases that I can spot in there. They are simply stock from past years still being sold. Fairytale Dreams, Zodiac, Old World, etc. All from their earlier years at AC. Christmas 2020 was their final release so far. So yeah, I'm keeping DCWV on the speculated dead list for now until someone brings me evidence of new products. AC are just selling off their existing warehouse content. ETA: I think I spotted a new release in the catalog after several flips and looks. Luna doesn't look familiar to me. Pretty sure I would remember this if it had been released before. Let me look this up some more. ETA2: 2021 new releases from DCWV are English Garden, Floral Couture, Honey Blossom, Humble Abode and Luna. All the rest in the 2021 catalog paper stack-wise is old stuff. Verdict: DCWV goes off the speculation list. The Shop by Brand link is not intended as an exhaustive list of brands under the AC umbrella, rather it shows products (by brand) that still are available for sale by AC. Perhaps the abundance of of Pink Paislee, Shimelle, & Dear Lizzy inventory in AC's warehouse (rather than ordered & sold by retailers) may be the reason for their demise. Meanwhile, the Catalogs link may suggest these are AC's core brands for 2021. As stated in my initial post, it seems Project Life/Becky Higgins, 1Canoe2, & Jillibean Soup brands have also been eliminated from the AC roster. The status of Damask Love, Bo Bunny, Jolee's Boutique, K&Company, Pebbles, & Sticko is uncertain, given it appears new products have not yet been introduced this year. Lastly, AC, Bazzill, Core'dinations, Obed Marshall, Amy Tangerine, Vicki Boutin, Crate Paper, Paige Evans, Jen Hatfield, Maggie Holmes, Heidi Swapp, WRMK, EK Success, DCWV, & Colorbok are currently active papercrafting brands with new releases this year.

I have been a fan of Pebbles from way back when they had the 'Along the Way' magazine, before they were sold to EK Success and they had a catalog you could order from in the back of their magazine. If AC is the cause of their demise shame on them. I also think there was a decline in WRMK album quality after AC took over. Instead of #ETTD it should be Everything AC Touches Dies.

The status of Damask Love, Bo Bunny, Jolee's Boutique, K&Company, Pebbles, & Sticko is uncertain, given it appears new products have not yet been introduced this year. 1Canoe2's partnership with AC ended before the pandemic. Willow, their final AC collab' line, came out in 2019. 1Canoe2 lives on and sells paper products on its own website. AC didn't kill (or own) the brand in this case. I'm happy to open a previously ended collaborations list. Damask Love confirmed on social media earlier this year she had another collection coming out with AC later this year. JilliBean Soup never even sold paper products with AC. Do we consider this a kill? They announced partnering with AC for their paper products in late February 2020 but AC seems to have walked back the contract before JS's announcement of no longer offering physical products in June 2020. Nothing ever came of it. JS continues to produce digital products. Project Life is a different matter. The brand exists (never belonged to AC), continues to sell digital and physical products that appear to be the same as under the active AC partnership such as new 8x8 albums but instead of using the AC wholesale distribution network, it's on the PL by Becky Higgins website. The demise and bizarre path of the PL brand is truly Becky's doing. This is one instance in which I cannot blame AC. With their continued manufacturing of albums and page protectors for Becky's website, I just don't see how this could even be a fully ended collab/partnership situation. This is definitely the odd one out. I don't follow Jolee's Boutique, K&Company or Sticko at all. No clue when their last new products with AC were released. Can't put potential kill dates on those on my own but will add them to the speculated dead list.

My prior responses refer generally to brands AC is/has produce/d, not strictly its legal entities as you intended. I’m not that interested or invested in AC as a customer to learn its ownership/relationship with each brand it produces/d, given Bazzill is the only AC brand I’ve bought regularly (& always on sale)!

I read a post in a fb group about Amy Tan being let go from AC. Not sure how accurate it is but it is going around. I just read the same thing! The group's moderator said she "asked AC" about Amy Tan. If this is true, that's huge. Why are they letting all the designers go??? I hope that means they are bringing on new designers like Inkie Quill (Adele Toomey), Suse Fish and Missy Whidden.

I was at my local Michaels last week and the paper crafting area is decimated, almost all of the stickers are gone, also the paper. Stamping section also drastically downsized, and they are no longer carrying Tim Holtz products, which was one of the last “designer” brands they carried. I am hoping that issues with manufacturing and shipping are behind the empty shelves, but I think the crafting industry is moving away from paper crafts I received a survey from a visit to M’s that I wound up buying a non-scrappy item due to the lack of anything interesting in the few scrapbooking aisles they have. I was very candid on the survey in my comments and shared that I used to shop daily at one of the four stores in my area. Now, I may stop by every couple of months. I shared their lack of brand names, stocking mostly Recollections and their coupon policy change impacted my shopping habits. It’s pretty sad that a fabric store (Jo Ann’s) has more products of interest than a CRAFT store and a better coupon policy. Two of the J’s near me carry Designer Destination. One of these store is a super J’s of sorts and is huge. They carry so much more.

I honestly have trouble following all this, I usually find out here! (thankfully) Is there any info regarding Jen Hadfield, designer of mostly Pebbles? She's the only one I mostly have bought in the past few years...I am wondering if she will still be doing stuff for AC? No idea how to go about figuring any of that out. Does AC main site have any sneak peeks or coming soon type things? I do sometimes check scrapbook.com's Coming Soon category to find out what's next.

I really like the colors in this collection! If my laundry room is ever finished, the color combo I want is very similar to this line.

Someone asked Shimelle about Amy Tan on a recent Live and she said she thought she might be taking a break because of the new baby. She said not to quote her but she hadn’t heard that AT had been dropped but also hadn’t heard that she had more collections coming out. 🤷🏻♀️

sleepingbooty Commenter on latest Shimelle Live said that they had gotten confirmation from Amy Tan that she has been dropped from AC. Shimelle implied that it might not be a terrible thing for Amy - I took that to mean she may be launching something new with someone else. We’ll see. But apparently confirmed: no more AC Amy Tangerine.

Absolutely, that's very possible. That was my impression the first time that Shimelle mentioned it, before it was confirmed, and then the second time I thought she might've signed up with someone else (but that's totally reading things in to a few vague words). She's very influencer-business savvy so I she'll land on her feet no matter what and this might free her up to do different things the same way Shimelle is now free to build her BOBW kits with a range of brands.
