I recently got the IP Vortex 6 quart. I notice there are several recipes for say chicken wings. All different cook times and different cook temps.
Is there a go to place you use for recipes that turn out?
I would like to air fry chicken wings on Monday and am confused on what temp and time I should use.

I have a Ninja Foodi Grill & Air Fryer. I have found that it depends on the air fryer and it depends on the weight of the food you're air frying. I did country-style pork ribs the other night and, although I did them 5 minutes less than the recipe called for, they were a tad overdone. I'll use a thermometer next time and take them out when I just reach the ideal temp. That's a long winded way of saying it's kind of learn as you go.

LOL thanks. I kind of figured it would be that way. I am going to go with 380 degrees and temp check.

LOL thanks. I kind of figured it would be that way. I am going to go with 380 degrees and temp check. This is pretty much what I do too and I try all kinds of stuff in the air fryer! LOL Last week it was sitting on the counter and I was getting ready to put it away so I'd have room to make meatballs and I was like, "HEY! I bet I could air-fryer these!" IT WORKED GREAT! 8 minutes @ 400. Crispy all over, cooked through! No standing and turning for 30 minutes. No flat or burned spots. It was awesome! Have fun! :-)

We use it mostly for wings. We have a powerfryer pro with 3 trays. DH does 365 at 15 min., 365 at 15 mins., 375 at 15 mins. and 375 for about 12 mins. He rotates the trays. Not a simple process. We use fresh wings.
We cooked frozen french bread pizzas last night and they were so much better than the oven. They looked a bit too brown, but they weren't burnt. We are trying to use ours more than for just wings.

No advice on chicken wings. What I do if I want to use my airfryer rather than my big oven is use whatever the recipe says is the fan forced oven temperature, and cook for about 4/5ths of the time given, and then check and cook longer if necessary. For example, if the recipe says 180°C conventional, 160°C fan-forced for 20 mins. I would set my airfryer to 160°C and cook for 16mins. Sometimes it's done, sometimes it needs a little more time, but I've never had anything be overcooked or burnt.
