What's the best or worst recipe you've found on Pinterest and tried lately? I've got tons of food pins, but haven't tried anything new lately. I've kind of been in a cooking slump

I made a crockpot breakfast casserole for a brunch this weekend. It was an epic fail. A pound of sausage, feta cheese, baby spinach a dozen eggs and fresh herbs in the trash. Thank goodness I had extra eggs so I was able to whip up something else.

I made this 5 Ingregient Pork Loin It was just okay and it made a HUGE burned mess in my pan. It took me forever to clean up - definitely won't be making it again.

Thank goodness I had extra eggs so I was able to whip up something else. I forgot that I DID make a breakfast casserole in the crockpot back in May. I deleted it though because I was so not impressed! It was definitely overlooked. Sorry you had to throw yours out. Mine got eaten for the most part, but I think my parents were just being nice! LOL.

There is absolutely nothing magical about this MAGIC CAKE. It tasted okay but it did not look like this: We do however really like this HONEY SESAME CHICKEN

I made the pumpkin version of Magic Cake - it was a big hit!
I've made a couple of versions of the poke cakes which were good too.

Tomato Lime Chicken. Holy cow, my family wolfed it down! Ingredients 1 1/2 pounds chicken, fresh or still frozen 2 limes, juiced 1 T orange juice 1 t fajita seasoning (or more for a bigger kick) 1/2 c cilantro 8 ounces salsa 1/3 c chicken stock Instructions 1.Juice your limes. Add the fajita seasoning, chicken stock, and orange juice to the lime juice and stir to ensure it's combined. Chop your cilantro. 2.Add the chicken to the crockpot, and pour the liquid atop it. Add the cilantro and then the salsa, being sure to cover the chicken. 3.Cook on low for 4-6 hours. Use tongs to shred your chicken. It will be so tender that it simply falls apart, so no need to remove it from the pot. 4.Add more stock to make this a soup and serve with tortilla strips or make into a "taco" by placing the meat onto a tortilla and topping with sour cream. Ooh! This one sounds yum! And can be made into a soup too -even better.

Best dessert I've made was Salted Caramel Butter Bars. Holy yumminess! There's only 1 1/2 POUNDS of butter in the recipe but it's so worth it.
Worst was some Rootbeer pork loin in the crockpot. Ick!

I started a tried and true pinterest recipes thread but it's in the recipes forum. I'll check that out too! Guess maybe this should have gone there. I'm not used to having a dedicated recipes board yet!

Actually I think maybe threads like this should go here and people sharing their actual recipes should go in the recipe forum. It probably doesn't get as much traffic so it would be better as a virtual cookbook rather than discussion.

gale w - that chicken flautas recipe sounds good - similar to Amanda's creamy chicken enchiladas and we love those! Thanks!

Here is a link to my tried it/made it board. Besides recipes, it includes crafts, cleaning tips, etc. - pretty much anything I found on Pinterest that I have tried (which considering how many things I have pinned, is not that many)

These were a huge hit. It you try them don't pat out on a flat surface and cut. Just put the dough right in the baking pan and cut after they are done cooking. Doing it like the instructions was just a big mess.

I've done a " Skinny Slow Cooked Pernil (Puerto Rican Pork)" in my crockpot that turned out very good. Everybody loved it, so now I make it at least once a month.
