Something with rice. I made rice for dinner last night & DD wanted pasta so she made pasta and we didn’t eat the rice.
Also it’s just me - she officially moved out today. Also I got my farm box today but haven’t used up last weeks yet
So most likely something with rice & vegetables lots of vegetables. I’ll probably just mix it all together like a casserole since I’m not in the mood for fried rice.

smcast Prayers and good wishes for DH and your family. How nice to have traveled! We are taking out Mexican food for lunch so we’ll see what we feel like for dinner if anything. It sure is a lovely day. My little stinker keeps wanting to bite the blackberry bush. One would think the stickers should be deterrent enough. I pruned all around some of the beds to keep the little velociraptor from feeding on hurtful plants. Did I mention I bought long gardening gloves? My arms look awful from all the bite marks.

We are eating grilled chicken quarters, asparagus, fruit salad, and tiny chips of plaster. So be it.
Not much news here except that I'm going to try to find new glasses, frames and all. I do not look forward to this process. I cannot use the online companies bc of my weird eyesight and arrow-shaped head. Well, maybe not that last part. "You get what you pay for," to quote one of our haughty arrows.
Thanks for the thread, Oh Queen of the Magnificent Sisterhood of AKathy. Take care of yourself, please.

smcast I hope your dh does well. Is he having a TURP? I’m glad your trip went well. I fell because I’m a dumb ass and wore Birkenstocks I have tevas but they give me blisters. Need to find something else. So my niece needed to inform me of the feeding details after every one starting at 1:30AM. Be careful what you wish for 😂 Glad you’re back bklyngal62Not sure about dinner yet. I have veggies from my farm box to use up.

teddyw, he'll have a robotic assisted prostatectomy. He has a fairly large cancer mass. Funny, we wouldn't even know about it if I didn't hassle him about seeing a physician for an annual exam. His cholesterol has been high and he avoids doctors. I don't understand avoidance. He hasn't had his eyes checked or a dental cleaning in two years. Disgusting. I'm a big one on preventative care.

i'm doing salmon again and broccoli salad. and couldn't resist the huckleberry ice cream. new cast on dh's leg, kid off to airport and back home. my other child finally figured out what is holding up university registration and has to go in monday and show proof of vaccination (not covid!!). and I have to go pick up doggy from groomer and walk him. that's the worse part. I hate walking the dog, though I can do it.

Good afternoon everyone. I had a dental appointment this morning that lasted almost 3 hours to get my temp crown on then came home to several phone calls regarding ds so I have been dealing with that.
Looks like the new lawyer will take out case. Going to have the consult and see what it will cost us. Very limited budget.
Also spoke with the insurance broker and they are filing an appeal on my behalf. Let's see what that brings. (Dh spoke with his benefits department and they got us in contact with the broker)
CCS got my application for ds and left a message so I called back and am waiting for them to call again.
The free law firm state recommended has been a total flake so far so don't see them helping.
Feeling a little hopeful that one of these will pan out for us.
Just trying to put money away.

smcast, I'm thinking the best, cancer-free thoughts for your dh. May the surgery get everything all at once.

bklyngal62, glad you had a great trip despite the lousy ending. I made a quick gai lan & carrot stir fry with shredded beef and a ton of Thai Basil.

scrapmaven I've seen it, good movie! But would totally watch again with you and make us a batch of martinis! Tomorrow I plan to finally watch The Conjuring 3. It should go well with the stormy weather. I am going to other BFF’s house to watch next week. I told her I would do that for her and she was sooooooo happy. She knows psychological thrillers scare me but I will do this for her. I will bring tons of food.

desertgirl Have you checked out Warby Parker? They have store fronts as well as online. More reasonable in prices. I want to get a pair there. I typically get one at the optometrist with insurance but for my sunglasses I go to Costco.
