I just recently started working at Joann and although I knew about them, I just became somewhat familiar with Diamond Dots. I had no idea you could buy them in little jars by color. I'm not the least bit interested in doing a "painting" but I bought some to use in shaker cards and for the middles of flowers and other ways on embellishments. I thought it was a brilliant idea and I was feeling all smug. Then the other day I was at the checkout and a lady put several on the counter and she said she was going to put them in shaker cards! Wise minds and all that.
So if you haven't already go get some. I dare ya.

I've been saving my leftovers from doing the paintings to use in/on cards!

Shakers are a great idea for those! I have a diamond painting that came with way more gems than I need, so into shakers they will go

I would never have thought of using them. I did read about it on the cardmaking board. Have I bought any? No. And I do like the idea.

I've been doing that too. I've also used them to embellish a wooden letter "J" that I've had for years. I applied a sheet of double-sided adhesive and then arranged the dots in a rainbow pattern. I still have lots left over.

I do diamond paint... its stress free mindless in front of the tv... all my leftovers i save in a jar...
I never thought to use them in shakers or glue them on embellishments.... i may need to start saving them by color instead of mixing them all together
