Hi everyone! I am fighting a migraine today ... it's totally stress related ... three more school days to go!  This is what I posted on Facebook this morning ... sometimes you just need cookies   Dinner tonight will be whatever ... absolutely no idea ... can't even think about it right now  I'm thinking that a few people need hugs due to medical issues but my mind is blank ... so I'll just send a big hug to everyone!  What are your plans today? What is on your menu tonight? Have a great Saturday everyone! The weather here is beautiful ... I hope it is where you are as well!  |

Hope your migraine goes away quickly leannec Try to take a nap and rest your eyes in a dark space. Going to go swimming again today and scrapbook some more. Enjoying the summer sun and water. So good for my soul. Dinner tonight is plum braised chicken, steamed broccoli, sautéed asparagus, and watermelon. May also slice the nectarines as they just ripened. |

Good morning leannec I'm sorry about your migraine today. Hopefully you are able to skirt through this next week and then indulge yourself a bit. Hugs. @sunnycamom I read your post yesterday and I want you to you that I'm continuing to pray for your family. Yes please take good care of yourself. The pool and scrapbooking sound very good to me. I am going to a graduation party for my good friends daughter. They are serving fried chicken. Yum. I'll probably only have a light dinner tonight, maybe just a snack, after having a big lunch. I finally updated my blog this morning. I wish I could be one of those reliable people who said, yeah,my new blog post comes out every Thursday or something. But of course I'm not. Which is weird because I probably have about 20 actually written in a word document that I just need to upload. But it seems I always have something new in a week that inspires me to write something. So new ideas replace some of the older ones. |

leannec - I hope you are feeling better soon. Migraines are so horrible. I used to get them regularly, but mine were hormonal, so they have stopped since menopause. Today has been lovely here - mid 20s and a fresh breeze, at least at our level. I’ve been out for a walk and have been reading on the sofa most often afternoon. DH is just about to make pre-dinner drinks now - Aperol spritzers! Dinner tonight is going to be lamb koftkas - spiced minced lamb made into kebabs. They will be served with hummus, tzatziki and pita breads and possibly some salad.

leannec, I really hope you can combat your migraine, so that you can enjoy the rest of your weekend. Those 3 days of work seem daunting, but you're almost on vacation. Your meme is right on. jeremysgirl, blog when you are inspired to blog. Don't push it. desertgirl, my sil swears by Marina's suggestion, Warby Parker. She gets all of her glasses there. We're gonna leave mil's house around 11 and head for home. It's a short drive. Tonight will be pizza and Nobody. Can't wait to see Bob Odenkirk go psycho. Enjoy your day my lovely, tribe.

scrapmaven how does WP align for bifocals or to make sure the pupil is in the middle? Was always curious how that works. When ds and I get new glasses, they have us out on the pair we chose and use a ruler and marker dot to measure things for the rx to be made.

My optometrist measures pupillary distance as part of my exam and writes it on my prescription. She gives me a copy and then I can buy eyeglasses anywhere. |

Morning ladies. We are having a heat wave so by the time dinner comes this plan will likely be out the window but I think we will have the last Marley meal which is steak fajitas. I exercised this morning and now I’m going to enjoy a leisured ice coffee and figure out how to spend the rest of my day! I might even scrapbook! |

And I know they have some in California. Love the weekend. My DH let me sleep in today. Yesterday he took one look at me and said “why don’t you take a nap and go for a walk afterwards”. Felt so good. My little stinker turns into full velociraptor mode when over tired last night. Grateful for my new long gloves and DH. Tonight we will have salmon with pasta and roasted vegetables. |

DH and I have a date to go to Costco later so will pick up something for dinner there. It could be a rotisserie chicken if he doesn't feel like grilling. We have cousins stopping by tomorrow afternoon on their way home to AZ so need to get a few things otherwise I wouldn't go near Costco on the weekend. The cousins stopping by also means a bit of tidy up needs to take place today.  |

Last night we had Pineapple BBQ Chicken or whatever you would like to call it. Recipe is from The Wads Youtube video What's for Dinner?! 7 Sheet Pan Meals and Recipes .... starts at 20:23 into the video. You can copy and paste www.youtube.com/watch?v=2W7v2K10crw or just google. Video was much better on my television than on my imac.
Adaptions I made based on what we had in house was using boneless skinless chicken breasts instead of chicken thighs and canned chunked pineapple instead of fresh. Do use the fresh lime juice .... however you choose to get it out of the limes. Added some Penzey's Spices and balsamic vinegar, cooked it about 20 minutes at 400 and then stirred in some more bbq sauce and cooked another 5 minutes. Made some 90 sec microwave rice and stirred it into the mixture in the sheet pan and cooked few more minutes to let rice soak in some of the flavors. It turned out really really good ... as good as any sweet and sour chicken I've eaten at a restaurant. May try the same approach with pork for a change but we'll definitely make this recipe again. Best part is since there is only two of us we have leftovers for lunch today.
Kimberly Whisk as she calls herself on cooking videos is very quirky but I love her attitude, she makes me laugh and she has some good easy recipes. I really like her house hunting videos too |

The dishwasher is broken and I got to wash all the dishes by hand. I want to take a sledge hammer to it. I told my father I wanted a Bosche but he coerced me into getting a GE and GE makes shitty dishwashers. I arranged for someone to come out next week and I washed all the dishes. I may get a new one because:
a) I have the money
b) I am pissed off AF
c) this one is broken and
d) no effs to give. When in doubt buy it yourself.

I wish I could express just how happy I am but the words are failing me. DDIL was talking about procreating in the ‘near’ future and for him to get this kind of job is wonderful. Oh my heart is happy!

kjquilts I like Kimberly too! The Flamingo items she always finds makes me giggle. She is one of the few OG vloggers I can still watch. Great recipes and she is just herself which I love.. So many got too bug for their britches and or got fake. I also don't appreciate when their kids are pimped out to make money. I felt so bad for Kim's (she's in her apron) oldest daughter. And gosh do I miss Shelly from Shays home life and craft channel.
