I don’t really care if they get to their yes vote via stupidity. I mean ‘we’ suffer through their obstruction due to stupidity all the time, we may as well get a benefit from it at some point. I say that as a voting citizen not at a democrat, I still don’t think I’m a democrat. But just as an independent not affiliated citizen I suffer the consequences of their obstruction. So to me the ‘we’ in “we suffer through their obstruction” is just a concerned citizen of any or no affiliation. Not as in any opposing side.
