I haven't been able to scrapbook as everything is packed up because at some point we are getting carpet. Which is later than sooner.. Anyways, I did manage to clear out my room by 10 boxes of scrapbook/non-scrapbook stuff. I gave my friend all my rubber stamps which was HUGE. I only kept a small part of those since I don't stamp much. The room is still pretty full with boxes.. but since then, my aunt gave me her beading stuff. Which wasn't a ton but at least 3 FULL boxes of everything a girl could wish for to make jewelry. I've never made jewelry but always wanted to try so why turned down first class stuff? HA Then I have another friend, she is older and getting ready to retire. She is done scrapbooking. She is even moving into a Tiny Home and going to travel in her RV. But she had TONS of stuff. Good stuff. Guess who inherited it. I am supposed to get it in July. I have no idea how much there is. If she bought one pack of mats, she would buy the entire collection of different colors. Same with paper. She has great taste too, so I know even if it is a little older it will be good. So as much as I did good getting rid of 10 boxes of stuff.. I am afraid that I am back where I am started.... LOL... I guess when I go and unpack I will go through stuff again and purge what I don't want.

Well, deny it all you want... That sounds awesome to get a supply of scrappy surprises from your friend, hopefully you have the same likes in supplies.

Well, who would turn down free craft supplies? I hope you get to enjoy your "new" stuff soon. Even though everything is packed up maybe you could sneak some peeks and go through one box at a time and see what you want to keep and get some ideas for it.

I am not a craft hoarder. I am the Curator of an extensive private craft supply collection.

I just got home from a roundtrip CA to WA road trip to re-home the contents of a friend's craft room they no longer wanted. I didn't take everything, but I brought a LOT home. I'm now in the process of doing a major re-org in my space in an effort to find homes for the "new" stuff. Oof!

This is what I am excited about.. getting her stuff all boxed up (going through it as soon as I get it of course)... and then once the carpet is in, unopening ALL of it.

I’m not a hoarder. I am a scrappy prepper!
I am getting ready for retirement when I will finally have time to enjoy all the scrapglorious collection waiting for me in my craft room. Oh the fun I will have when I am no longer tied to the ole 8 to 5!
In the meantime, I think I’ll just keep the door closed.😂

That's a good problem to have - free stuff! I hope you can get to it soon.

Off topic, but you mentioned in your opening statement about getting carpet. I had the best experience with Sloans carpet secret (discount, near I70 and Peoria). Picked carpet out via zoom and will be installed at a great price. Not sure of their range of service, but there's 25% off now. DM me if interested. I'm not affiliated with them, but I'm so excited about getting my 20 year old carpet replaced vs trying to clean it. It was so fun doing a zoom, made a decision that I had to share....downsizing craft products may cause some tears.

I'm a hoarder. I'll admit it. I try to purge once a year but I just find more stuff to replace it. Part of the fun of scrapbooking for me is buying and organizing supplies.
I do scrapbook a lot though- I make 3-4 pages a week, sometimes more. Of course I have enough stuff to make 3-4 thousand pages...

I did look at them before.. they are not far from where I work. In fact, I think someone gave me a name of an installer there? Could it have been you? lol.. I was impressed by the website.

When you inherit it, maybe take 30 minutes a day to toss, keep, or donate. Or a box at a time. I'm the type that gets overwhelmed doing a full purge in one day.

I am the type of person to over analyze every purchase in my life, so if I own it, I will eventually use it.
