First question is where do you buy your d-ring albums on line? And what brand?
I want to switch my post bound books to d-ring and get new ones for current layouts.
Second question is do you just fill your albums and put dates on the spine or do you have an album a year?
Trying to decide how I can't the albumbs to go as far as years.

I switched from postbound to d ring about ten years ago. I started with WRMK brand. I can still find them on Amazon usually though I wait until the price drops to at least $25. If I’m unable to buy those or there’s a sale, I also use the albums from scrapbook.com.
As for how I store my layouts, I used to simply add pages and switch to the next album as one filled. When I realized I couldn’t find a specific layout without going through a ton of albums, I rearranged everything by year. Most years have at least two albums. In those cases, they’re split by Jan-Jun and Jul-Dec. There are even a few years where they’re separated into thirds. I just keep buying albums as needed and filled in years as needed. 2008-2011 already have so much scrapped so those years are unlikely to need additional albums. I always reserve the right to add more though! I have one album for everything prior to 2008 (when my daughter was born) called Pre 2008.

I have used D-Ring albums for the past 15 years. Prior to this, I used postbound.
I buy my D-Ring albums (WRMK) via Amazon. I also buy them from my local scrapbooking store if/when I ever see that they have one or two in stock. I don't date my albums... I used to, but I've gotten lazy over the years. I do journal on each layout, and the date is always included.

I've only ever used D-ring albums and I use PL brand albums because I liked the fun patterns. I have 5 more that are empty before I'll need to figure out what do next. I fill albums and put dates on the spine. I'm not a chronological scrapper, so I'm regularly putting new layouts in all of my albums. The dates on the spines are written on tiny scraps of paper that fit into the framed plates, so I can easily amend if an album gets too chunky and needs to be split up, which has happened a couple times already.
Some of my albums include only one year, some albums include more than one year. I create a layout and then figure out which album it goes into based on the timeframe listed on the spine.

I started using D ring albums 7-10ish years ago when all of the post bound albums I was buying at AC Moore 3/$10 started to break. I moved almost all of my post bound albums into D rings then because AC Moore had a closeout sale on them and I bought a ton ahead for less than $10 per album.
The albums I bought have a spot on the spine to put the dates (or titles if it's a travel album) so I do date them.
I scrap chronologically so I fill an album until it is full, date it and then begin the next.
I just bought an album online from Joann Fabric. It is the first time I have bought it online as I've gotten great deals at AC Moore, HL and some LSS in the past before they went out of business. The price was good at Joann's due to a sale, but I'm super disappointed in the color of the album. The forest green color looked green online but it looks black IRL. I've heard good things about the scrapbook.com albums too.

I buy mine from my friend who sells CTMH.
Each album is a trip or a niece/nephew's 1st year and then another for their misc outings/day trips with me. I dont scrapbook everyday things as I dont have kids.

I pretty much start a new album as I need to. I used to complete about an album a year when the kids were younger, but now I can get a couple years into an album. Most of my albums are WRMK or the PL patterned ones. I buy them mainly at Scrapbook.com and Amazon.

I use WRMK or Scrapbook.com primarily. For the most part I have been doing 1 album a year. I put the year on the spine and loosely organize the inside by date. I do t scrap chronologically though, so I’m not super picky about the inside order.
This year I started doing PL spreads in a 9x12 album. I’ll need two for each year.

I buy whenever and wherever there is a sale. I’ve purchased from Amazon, Scrapbook.com, and some other places that are failing me right now. For retail stores, I have purchased the Paper Studio brand from Hobby Lobby when they go 50% off. I’m not brand loyal to D ring albums like I used to be to Creative Memories. (I used page protectors in the strap hinge system, not CM pages.) My scrapbooking style and amount changed, so I really don’t want to shell out that kind of money for Creative Memories cover sets. So, it’s whatever brand is cheapest when I need them. I have Project Life, We R, DCWV, and Paper Studio D rings. I store layouts chronologically. I also like having the same album for a years worth of photos. I definitely need more than one album per year. I think 2019 has 8 albums and then there’s a few bonus volumes for other trips. Either 6 or 8 albums. I can’t recall if that one trip was in 2018 or 2019. This same album for the same year is a kind of recent development. Our albums start in 1998 and I started doing the same album for each year in 2012. I think I’ve shared this photo before, but here’s a visual of what I’m talking about. http://instagram.com/p/CK-m8teAmi0

I buy mine at Hobby Lobby - I'm an 8.5x11 scrapper but I know they have 12x12 as well. I use one style (black) for most albums (chronological albums) and another (map print) for trips. I don't scrap chronologically but I do store that way. I use cheap binders from the office store to hold layouts and page protectors with pictures to be scrapped chronologically and once a year is complete (or if I complete enough of it starting in January to fill an album) I scan the layouts and switch to an actual album - at that point, I label the spine. Some years fit in a single album, some take up several. So if you look at my shelves - it's obvious what albums are complete vs what is still in progress. The main exception are the green, purple, and pink binders (3 of each) that are my children's baby books/first year albums - they are complete but not in proper albums.

How do you keep your pages from sagging? Am I just not stuffing them full enough?
I don't scrap chronologically so I love D-rings for the flexibility but I can't seem to store them vertical without having sagging, bent pages.
I used to arrange my albums by kid, trip, etc. I've decided to try scrapping them by date now but I was very bad about putting the date on the pages so now I look at the photos and try to guess how old the kid is. I'm pretty bad at it- I'm sure I have pages in the wrong year. Now the kids are grown I have no idea what a 3 year old, a 5 year old, or a 7 year old looks like.
I think I'll keep the trips and holidays in their own separate albums but try to rest in date order.

I'm actually getting low on 12x12 albums. I got a good deal on 5 before scrapbook steals shut down. I don't do an album per year. I put the month and year on the spine when it started and month and year when it ends.

I'm identical to most posts already made. STarted with postbound, got frustrated with how hard it was to rearrange/add layouts (because I'm NOT a chronological scrapper) and switched to D ring. I have at least 2 albums/year. I add layouts where they belong, and often an album will become too full and I'll have to move some to the next album in the series...but then that one is too full so I have to take the end ones out of it and move them forward...and so on. That can be a pain. So now I try to leave lots of space in an album if I know there are lots of pictures yet to be done in that time frame. I get mine almost exclusively at M's when they are 50% off. In Canada, it's the only way to get a $20 album. Shipping from SB.com is killer on albums. I can't seem to store them vertical without having sagging, bent pages. Yeah, this is a bit of an issue - I do occasionally turn my upside down to allow "reverse sag" to occur!

I use the WRMK albums. I bought a ton of them one clearance years ago and just kept going. Mine are very full and I don't worry about getting them filled with one year at a time.
