My cardstock scraps drawer is out of control so I want to take some of my smaller scraps and turn them into usable elements for cards! I thought I'd ask the Peas for any small dies (2" or less) they love, other than the standard circle/heart/star. Basic shapes with a twist/upgrade (stitching, embossing, extra design flair) are welcome, but I don't want to just have plain hearts, etc. I'm hoping to find some new stunning dies through the power of the Peas!

I have all of the Queen & Co. Foundation dies, which include banners, hearts, flowers, balloons, and a variety of shapes, and the vast majority are all stitched. Many are small and great for using up scraps.
I also have a lot of Spellbinder and Heartfelt Creations dies. I seem to be a sucker for tickets, among other things. I have a lot of tag dies of different shapes and sizes, too.
I tried what you are planning to do. I cut a ton of scraps into various shapes for using on cards. Unfortunately, in reality I have only used very few. What I am trying to do now is to take the scraps, find scrap papers & cardstock that go well together, pull out my Foundation and other small dies, then create a planned card with the scraps using the dies. I don’t glue the pieces down. I put it together in a baggie to make a card kit (to put together later). I find it easier to use a deliberately planned card kit made with the scraps than random scraps cut into shapes that will hopefully be used on something some day.
I hope that made sense.

Queen and Company’s foundation set 9 has a nice mix of small dies like clouds, flowers, balloons, etc and they all are stitched. Do you use embossing folders? You can cut a plain die and then stick it in an embossing folder to add texture to it.

The greetery has wildflower botanicuts which are amazing and can be added to so many things. Birchoress heart layering dies are amazing.

Planning is not my strong suit, but neither is managing and using up a huge collection of little bits and bobs. I'm trying to use them up as I go, or at least get things to a halfway stage, like a card base with scrap strips that's just waiting for a sentiment and image. I like your idea. Hearts are the only shape I cut scraps into.

They are well worth the price considering how many dies you get in each set. I have a few more to get to complete my collection and the holiday set tops the list. If you decide to get some here’s a linkto her gallery sketches for layering ideas for the sets. I printed them out as a reference.

Yes, the Q&Co. Foundation die sets are my favorite and most used dies! They do restock regularly, especially the Foundation die sets. You can sign up to get notification for when a die set is back in stock. They also have great customer service.
